Chapter 43 - The Graduation

Finally, Graduation for the seniors. The most awaited moment for parents ever since they sent their children on the to school for the very first time. This is the most precious moment they can ever be a part of their children's life. To see their children finally holding that diploma.

A proof that life isn't workthless, because now, the kids may have a chance to be a part of the society. Be a part of something more than a household and school.

But of course they have no idea what that is. To them they only got away from this dungeon they call school. Where no matter how strict you follow the rules, they still see the smallest mistakes and tell the whole student body this funny story about you, your mistakes.

Being dumb is funny, a dumb story is funny.

When Taeyong was called as the Suma Cumlaude, everybody went silent to listen to his speech. He's not holding any pre written speech so they were expecting him to only congratulate them.

"Congratulations guys! We are now done with school, but learning is endless. Let's stay down to our feet and stay humble." he paused and waved at his parents at the back taking pictures of him.

"My four years in here has been filled with ups and downs. Sometimes I stay up at night thinking that I can't make it. I am not capable of anything, that I might not make it to senior year. I know we all experienced all of that. I cried most nights when nobody can see me. I cried in the shower but I always come out facing the hardships as if I'm superman." he chuckled, letting his friends whistle and cheer for him.

"I'd first like to thank my parents for dealling with me even though I say things that hurt them all the time. My friends, thanks for making me feel that I am not alone. Mr. Wu for always taking my side. For the long talks, motivations and comfort. It made long years of school worth it. You were the kind of teacher than make students want to attend class. Mr. Oh for being so considerate and playful. You helped us open our minds and let out our creativity." he saluted his most favorite teachers.

"Kang Seulgi, for being in my mind all the time and made me forget that I want to hurt myself when I make mistake. Telling you everything has been a big help. People didn't know that. They think relationship is just a distraction when it comes to studying. Not all relationships are just distractions. Ours saved me. You were the reason why I recieved this awad."

People giggled at his last mention.

"Today we part ways, we say goodbye to our younger friends and to all those people who inspired us that are a part of this school." he paused and raised his diploma.

"Today we get our diploma and finally get out of the school premises. No school policies. No teachers observing us and reminding us what's right or wrong. When you get out of here, do you, be you. Be true. Live. To my professors, you did it again as educators. Now it's time for us to go so you can take care of the new students. The school needs you. When we go out there, promise to show the world what these lovely professors taught us, so they would experience our professor's kindness in us. Be kind, share kindness. In a world where everything is harsh, let's show kindness." he finished making everybody clap.

It was Ten who prepared a graduation party for all the seniors. Everybody's invited. He rented this Thai restaurant just for the seniors and his other friends. Of course, this won't be called a party unless there's alcohol. There was  beer everywhere, the lights were dim like what a Korean bar would look like, except for the Thai food served.

"WE MADE IT!" Ten said raising his drink making the rest do the same.

Mr. Wu went in front silencing them all. Taeyong was the most excited because he adores this man so much. He was the main inspiration why he endured all the torture of being the Student Council President.
