Epilogue

"Oh boooohooohooo freaking booohooohooo! Cry babies. Wherever Mei is, she's probably angry that the memorial service has not started yet." Areum interrupted the two.

Both Jungwoo and Lucas wiped their tears right away, dusting their suits as if nothing happened. Their eyes were kinda red though. Areum's such a bitch for making fun of them while they're being emotional.

"Everybody's waiting for the two of you outside. Save the tears for later, we haven't had alcohol yet." Areum grabbed Lucas's arm to drag him away from Jungwoo. These two are making her feel insecure. For some reason, she thinks Jungwoo's going to take away Lucas from her. Just a silly thought but it felt real whenever she can see them together.

Lucas stared at Areum and sighed. Something's changed about her ever since the accident. She's been more out there like she's trying to get the most of life. It was the opposite of him when he had that accident with Mei. But maybe because someone died after that accident.

This time nobody did.

Before, Lucas was just a kid and knew nothing. He couldn't  do a thing for his sister. But he made sure he wouldn't lose Areum the same way.

"Are you going to visit tour father anytime soon while you're here?" Lucas asked Areum.

They looked into each other's eyes before Areum forced another smile. "Nahhhh! Fuck it. If he can slide off of his crimes like nothing happened, he can take care of himself. Besides, he wanted to get rid of me. He almost killed me." She balled his fist as her smile faded. "So I'm good. I'm fucking fine. I'm doing absolutely okay." She said but her face shows the opposite.

"Liar." Lucas accused her.

"I love you, that's no lie." Lucas told her instantly making her smile. "Tell me one last lie." Lucas told her.

"I hate you." She said then smiled.

"There you guys are." Kris smiled at the young couple in front of him. Nothing about them has changed much. They still fight a lot.

Years has passed and it's been a while since they saw this two. Most of his students stayed with the ones they're dating back in college. He and Jessica are now married and planning to start their own family.

"We've been waiting for too long." Irene complained leaving Johnny covering her mouth before she can curse and say tons of different nonsense.

They're now in China, just to give Mei the memorial service that she didn't  have. A complete one where there's Kris, Jessica and her beloved, Yixing.

"So, who's going to join us?" Johnny asked but everybody already occupied the other cars, afraid to be a part of his driving. He was a little disappointed about it.

"Well at least I have you." He said glancing at Irene who's wearing Ten's helmet. He glared at her tapping the helmet. "Really? You're going to do this to me? I haven't had one accident." He said as he started the engine. "The only time my car crashed was when Areum's driving. You guys are so judgemental." He kept complaining the whole car ride.

A/N: At the beginning, I said that we all lie to get rid of the ugly truth, and that is my main inspiration. I have to be honest, I was kinda having a hard time in school and some professors.

I was supposed to graduate last 2018 but got delayed because of a lot of reasons. Mostly were school's errors and of course, I'll take all the blame for myself. Maybe I wasn't enough. Maybe I really am not meant to finish this profession. Maybe this is the universe telling me that this isn't for me.

This year, I did all my best but ended up with the same result. Missing files that can't be found anywhere. All my classmate's results of medical exams were there except for mine. Just like last year.

You might be wondering why I'm writing this personal stuff on a Kpop fanfic.

You know why?

Because just now, I realized why I keep on writing these school cliches with the cool and considerate teachers just because it was them who I needed the most. I needed professors who would look at students equally and understand that we are doing everything but there's still something missing.

Maybe consideration, encouragement instead of scolding and insults. Maybe all we need is assitance to find our lost files.

Apparently I have none of those and it might be the reason why you're reading this now on my final Author's Note in this fanfic.

It was titled Tell Me Lies because I wanted to tell a story wherein unlike my real life, I want to tell you lies. I want to tell you a story where I am not a LOSER and an UNLUCKY person who keeps taken advantage of. All the character's stories I made sure to have a happy ending because I want to witness a story where everything ends happily.

I keep wanting to see that ending, a happy one, I mean.

I wanted to create a place where broken families can be solved easily and death can be accepted easily, because they were the things I don't think I can get away of. People who knew me are tired of the same damn thing about me and tired of hearing these stories, so I provide you something simple that I can't do. Move on from family and death of relatives.

Hahahaha!

Because apparently, I'm the only fucking person who doesn't know how to let it go! And everyone else can move on easily from those tragedies right? I'm the only one who has a messed up head right? And I'm not fucking normal to be crying when I feel wronged, taken for granted, sad or in pain in general.

AM I?

Am I the only one?

Aren't we all?

We're all Liars.

Because when you cry, you should stop right away and fucking smile. Even if you feel anxious that you won't graduate. Even if people yell at you, when people leave you and when people die.

And the reason why the schoolmates in the story were Kpop idols and all the cool professors were all kpop artist is because it turn out, it was them who makes me feel better. When I'm on my room crying and feel like I need to disappear, I listen to songs and It makes me feel happy.

It was them who relives my stress.

All this time, it's just me and the books I write.
