Chapter 47 - Tell Me Lies

"911 emergency."

"There's been a car crash."

"Mr. Wu was at the dorm waiting for Areum and Lucas to arrive. There's nowhere else he knew they would go other than their dorm.

Oh Sehun was with him while Xiumin and Tao was at the party making sure that the kids won't go far with the party.

He was about to ask the landlord where Lucas' room was to knock. Maybe they arrived earlier than him when Tao called him.

"Kris, Areum's on the news." He said as soon as Kris answered his phone.

Something about Tao's tone made him feel anxious.

"We're on our way to the new hospital near Mark Tuan's place. We're at Kang General Hospital. According to the reports, that's where she was admitted. Hurry up." After hearing that, made Kris more anxious that he calmed himself before getting in his car.

"Please let them be alright. Please be safe." He whispered before he drove his car to the said hospital. It was indeed new. It doesn't look like it has a lot of patients and staffs. But there sure are a lot of reporters.

Kris walked towards the information and met the most furious front desk attendant ever. "Yes? Are you here to document the president of China? If you are, kindly go outside the operating room and don't even disturb me." She got rid of him harshly.

Well that's rude.

Maybe a lot of reporters came here before him. This is a hospital, why permit a huge amount of media? They should just let them stay outside the hospital.

Kris went to the men's room first to pee when he heard two men talking before he could enter. "If Yiyang dies, the secret will never be exposed. It'll die with her. My name and reputation won't be ruined. My family will finally live peacefully."

"Then let's hope for a good news when the doctor comes out of the operating room."

Kris balled his fist in anger, but this isn't the place to beat up a president. It's a hospital, surely they will come to his aid. Kris wanted this man dead, after hearing his nonsense.

He withdrew a few steps and went to the vending machine instead. That's where Tao was. He bought tons of water. "Areum is still in the operating room. Lucas is in room 510. He broke few ribs and his neck was hyperextended. He had to wear neck brace, but he has stabilized." He told him as if he's Areum and Lucas' father.

Kris went to Lucas first since Areum was still in the operating room.

Almost all of Lucas' friends are in his room even though he's still unconscious.

"What happened?" Kris asked.

"They had a car accident. The truck tried to step on the break but it was too late. He thought they're going to accelerate when they see his headlights but they didn't move at all. Areum was driving, Lucas was in the back seat. Areum was more injured." Johnny reported, feeling guilty that he left his car keys lying around.

Kris hissed and glanced at Lucas who was still unconscious. These kids did it tonight. They caused a very  big trouble. Out of all his students that he's handled, this has to be the first time that someone got caught in this type of accident.

Areum has totally gone mad. She wasn't behaving like herself when she ran outside. Lucas was the same, considering he didn't have the control to calm Areum. He must be in panic himself.

Right....

Mei died one car crash.

He must have been reminded of that unfortunate night. The fact that Areum and Mei resemble each other. It's like reliving his worse nightmare.
