Chapter Ten
“Joshua, Anya is not responding to the treatment she is having.” Risa, his stepmother came rushing to us when we got back.
“Why?” Joshua looked very troubled.
“I don’t know. Her bruises became hemorrhage and if it doesn’t get cured, her blood circulation will cease.” Risa cried and cried.
“Take me to her. I think I have an idea.” I instructed. We ran up the huge staircase and barged in the room. There were at least eight doctors in the room. “These are the finest doctors in this country and yet they cannot heal this one patient.” I was seriously pissed off.
“There is nothing we can really do if she doesn’t accept our power.” One of them talked back.
“Step aside.” I pushed them away from her and studied her body.
“You shouldn’t be forcing yourself. We just fixed you.” One of the doctors spoke again.
“You should know when to shut up.” I snapped. “Manipulación de Sangue,”
I used blood manipulation technique and my Mote Vistan powers to melt the blood and controlled its flow.
“This is ridiculous! You should not be using a forbidden spell! The wrath of the guardians will be upon you!” One of the doctors spoke out again.
“When you have any better idea you imbeciles, let me know.” I was very mad because it’s like they’ve given up on her life already. The life that I risked mine to save…
“You should watch your language ma’am. You might now know who we are.”
“She does know who you are. If I were you, you’d shut your mouth now. If you tick that girl off to the edge, she’ll kill you all, burn you to ashes and no one will ever find you. Even if the government finds out, it will be no problem at all. It’s you who should watch your language. She’s already doing your job.” I felt a little better when Joshua defended me. His father Jonathan stayed quiet and just watched us beside Risa.
It took an hour when her blood circulation became stable. I gasped for air and my knees bent and I fell but Joshua caught me. I felt so exhausted.
“Shit, your aura is going ballistic!” Josh hissed at me
“I’m aware. At least Anya is safe.” A bright light appeared in front of me and characters were written.
For using the forbidden spell, you are now punished to become blind. This will last indefinitely depending on the mercy of the guardians.
“Oh dear,” Someone yelled and everyone else was so surprised.
“The gods are now angry at her!”
“There is only one God I believe in and I’m sure that He is not those filthy guardians.” That was the last thing I managed to say before the light covered me and my body became numb. Everything went black and I knew right then that it was only temporal.
Joshua was guiding me back to the palace. I didn’t want it because everything was covered in ice anyway so I can feel where I am going. Although inside the palace, it is a different situation.
“I’m really sorry for what happened.” Joshua sighed as we walked in the palace.
I was dead shocked when warm arms suddenly wrapped around me. “Thank God you’re okay. What the hell happened to you?” It was Simon!
“Nothing much,” I laughed a little.
“I got it from here Lord Livian. I’ll take her to her room.” I realized Joshua was no longer holding my hand. Instead, Simon already got his arm wrapped around my shoulder for support.
