Chapter 4 (V). Voices

Wayde Monroe | 1:17am | Basement

I was looking down at the massive hole that was created by the tsunami.

Holy crap. How will I find Mia now?

"Wayde?" I could my name echo as I look around the hole and I could see Elizabeth and Sophia at the bottom.

"Guys! Did you not get out?" I ask as I look for a way down into the cave.

"We got out, but we had to run back in, the thing was chasing and the tsunami was hitting the island," Sophia explains.

I look at the massive pool in the water, "I'm going to have to jump in the pool next to you guys," I call out, "Hold my gun," I throw my gun down and I make a jump for it.

I land in the water, but my body was stinging because it was a long jump. I see a body next to me and I swim back up fast, "Who the hell was that?!" I gasp for air as I get out the water.

"It's Brock," Elizabeth says dully, "he drowned right in front of me.

"Crap, I'm sorry."

Sophia hands me my shotgun and I grab the strap and put it behind my back.

"ALEX YOU BITCH!" A loud echo piercing my ears as I look around.

"Wasn't that Abby?" I mutter.

"Yeah-"

"HOLD DOWN LAYLA!" Andrew's voice cuts out Elizabeth.

What is going on?

"Andrew is dead? And Alex said Abby was dead, so how are we hearing them?" Elizabeth questions.

"I don't know, but didn't Alex turn into one of those things? Maybe they can mimic our voices? And look like us," I guess.

"Holy shit! You're right!" Sophia finally talks.

"That's why the monster from before looked like semi-Jordy," Elizabeth fills us in.

"I guess we should find a way out of here."

We start walking into the cave while I was holding a lantern I had found earlier on, I knew that we're either going to find a way out, or just go in deeper. "I heard a loud shriek before," Elizabeth finally breaks the silence.

"So did I," Sophia chimes in.

"Maybe this is their nest and that's how they got Layla, she fell in with James and James told me that Layla was missing for a few minutes after the fall."

We could several loud shrieks and that's when we hid behind rocks on the side of the wall.

I turn blew out the fire and I could hear the loud shrieks practically in front of us.

I was covering my mouth to prevent any noise and I could tell Elizabeth and Sophia were doing the same or something similar because I could barely hear them.

It took around 10 to 15 minutes before I lit the lantern and we start moving again.

But I look behind me to take a quick glimpse and I a creature trailing behind us.

"Run," I told the others as all three of us ran.

"Shit!" I could Elizabeth cry out as she falls to the ground. I help her back up and I whip out my gun to take a shot and it knocks the creature back.

We all continue to run and we then found a mineshaft and a office. We open the door a slam it close. I had dropped my lantern so we couldn't see much.

I heard a loud clang noise as I turn around to see Sophia on the ground holding her head in pain.

And I was to get my gun out, but to my biggest surprise, I drop my gun in shock.

"How, What?!"

Standing in front of me was Hannah holding a shovel.
