Chapter 5 (III). Great Sacrafices

Sophia Dove | 2:04am | Underground Nest

"Hannah?!" Wayde tears up as he starts to hug Hannah, "I-I, how-ow are you alive?" I got off the floor, rubbing my hand on my head as Elizabeth checks up on me.

"You ok?" Elizabeth asks as I tell her that it was nothing.

"I'm sorry Sophia, we thought you guys were one of those things," Hannah explains.

"We?" Elizabeth questions as Jordy comes out of his hiding spot.

"Jordy! No fucking way!" I look at him and I went to hug him.

"Ow, ow, not too hard," Jordy points to the patched up wound, "Sorry, I thought you guys were dead."

"I saw you get saw in half Hannah, how are you alive-"

"Holy shit, the thing in the room must of looked like you," Wayde states.

"Looked like me?" Hannah questions.

"Yeah the stupid monsters can somehow look like us, I don't know how, they transform their skin or something," I inform Hannah and Jordy.

"I saw one that looked like Jordy and it turned into a hideous monster," I look over at Jordy.

"Wait, how do we know if you guys are real?" Elizabeth questions.

"They're real because look, Jordy and Hannah has blood coming out of from their bodies," Wayde mentions, "I'm almost sure that the monsters only have white shit for their blood."

I look around the room and I notice a dynamite and a lighter, I pick it up and give it to Elizabeth which I suggest we should keep it just in case.

Suddenly there was a loud shrieking noise coming from the outside of the office. "We got to move! All of being stuck in here isn't going to help us," Wayde orders as he picks his shotgun off the floor.

Wayde looks out the door and motion his hand to us that we should leave now. I was holding onto Elizabeth's hand, it was dark out so we could barely see anything.

Wayde and Hannah holds up their own torch and start guiding us somewhere away from the shrieks. Jordy was ahead of me, as Hannah from behind Elizabeth an I was look from behind.

"GUYS RUN!" Hannah shouts as all of us start bolting through the cave.

The shrieks were getting louder now as we ran, following Wayde who was running in random directions, but we find a dead end.

There was two of those monsters from behind and Wayde clocks his gun and point at one of them who coming towards us.

How do we get out?

Suddenly Wayde shoots one of them and the other one leaps onto Wayde.

"ARGH!" Wayde shouts in struggle.

Hannah smashes the monster with her shovel and then stabs it with the knife she had.

Elizabeth suddenly lights one of those flare lights and scares off the monster.

"I found out they really hate these lights, that's probably they only come attack at night," Elizabeth breathe rapidly.

Hannah and Jordy helps Wayde up as I squint my eyes at light in the distance.

"Guys! Look! I think I see light!" I point straight ahead to the path we skip passed.

We all ran to the light, but we we just face with a massive cave section with a hole on top leaking water from the island.

"The tsunami had hit the island by the way," Wayde mentions to Hannah and Jordy, "it is flooded basically everywhere and it killed Brock in the process."

The ground started to soak and we realise there was rock falling from the ceiling.

"Watch out!" I scream as a few rocks came tumbling down and it crushes Jordy.

"NOO!" I scream and start whining loudly.

Elizabeth pulls me back as more rocks were starting fall from the cave's ceiling, as well as more loud shrieks could be heard.

"GUYS OVER HERE!" All of us turn to our left and we could see Abby and Mia waving their arms at us.

"HURRY GET OVER HERE!" Mia screams at us.

Wayde and Hannah start running ahead of Elizabeth and I. Suddenly a rock collapses onto Elizabeth and it crushes her left foot.

"AHH! I'M STUCK!" Elizabeth screams. I could see Wayde stops and tries to go towards us, but the rocks kept coming down.

I turn the other direction and I could see the monsters coming towards us and I knew it was over for Elizabeth.

"GET OUT OF HERE GUYS! WE'LL BUY YOU SOME TIME!" I shout from the top of my lungs.

I kneel down to Elizabeth who was sobbing and I wipe the tear off my cheek, "Remember that dynamite I gave you? We have to use it now."

Elizabeth drops her bag and starts crying, "I don't want to die, not like this," I hug Elizabeth as I grab the dynamite out of the bag.

I start crying as well as I look at the dynamite and light it up with the lighter from the bag as well.

The shrieks were getting louder, maybe about a metre away from us.

"Thanks for staying here with me, Sophia," Elizabeth says but still crying, "We-we has a good run I guess," I look at Elizabeth who now smiling and that's when something goes through Elizabeth's head as well a loud explosion next to me.
