Prologue (XI). Lacie Davis

Lacie Davis | 2 years before | Lounge Room

I was carrying refreshments into the lounge room, where the music was going to play and where I'm going to rock it out with weed that we bought from Raymond.

I start heading towards the kitchen and I could see Elizabeth and James making food as I grab a party pie from the plate.

"Fuck this is good," I compliment their cooking.

"Bom Appetitt," Elizabeth giggles as she goes to the sink to wash some dishes.

I walk out of the kitchen and I could see Wayde and Mia unpacking boxes from the couch. "Hey Lacie! Where does the chips go?" Wayde asks as Mis trips and drops the cups.

"Fuck your clumsy as fuck," I laugh.

"My bad," Mia collects the cups as I go the stereo and pump the music up.

I could see Sophia run into the kitchen and run out with Elizabeth, both of them smiling.

I go upstairs and I could see Alex on his phone as I lean in for a kiss. "Babe not now, I need to take this call."

Wow ok, so much for my affection.

Mitch and Abby walk down the stairs together as I go up and hug Abby.

"Yus sis! Looking sleek as hell!" I praise Abby who flicks her.

"Uh! Have you not seen yourself hoe!"

Abby and I laugh as Mitch goes up to Alex and talks to him.

"Wait honey! I'm going to grab my stuff from my room! K?"

Mitch replies yes as Abby waves goodbye to me.

Andrew and James comes through the elevator playing on their PSP.

Nerds.

I went upstairs to investigate why Abby up there. I finally reach her room and I could see her door open. I look inside and I could see Abby sitting on her bed holding something. I slowly push the door open by a little bit and go my surprise, Abby was holding a gun.

I back away as I trip over and that's when I bolt out of the hallway.

Why does Abby have a gun?!

Lacie Davis | 1 year before | Mia's Backyard

"Mitch! This is not romantic at all!" Mitch pulls my arm as he leads me to Mia's house.

Mitch had asked me out for a date after Mitch dumped Abby and when I dumped Alex for secretly dating Abby behind my back. That basic bitch. I'm kind of glad that she's missing.

We were now on the lawn of Mia's house where no one lived here anymore since Mia's death.

"Ok when you said date? Why did this come to mind?" I ask sarcastically.

"Look, Mia has this super cool treehouse, she brought me there a couple time as kids and it's one of my favourite hangout places."

Childish as shit.

Suddenly we hear a loud thump noise coming from Mia's old shed. Mitch and I stare at it for a long period of to time.

"Should we check it out?" Mitch asks as I look at him dully.

"You kidding right? What if there's rats in there or some feral rodent," I gag.

We hear another thump noise and that's when Mitch checks it out.

When we open the door, to our surprise we found Abby who went missing 2 days ago.

"Abby!" we untie her and bring down the towel wrapped around her mouth.

"Wa-water," Abby chokes. Mitch grabs out his water bottle and gives it to Abby who looked like a disaster.

10 minutes after...

We had called the police and they arrived almost three minutes, followed by Abby's parents and surprisingly Jordy.

Jordy went to talk to Abby and I watch as Abby hugs Jordy and that's when Jordy goes to the police and says something I couldn't make out what he was saying.

I look at Mitch who was lying down on the grass.

"So I mean, for this kind of date it was kind of awesome," I said to him as he sat up.

"I told you it would be fun, we save a person's life and we can now relax-ish."

I could see a flashing light and I look over to see a cloak person running with a camera.

What the hell?

Later Lacie finds out the photo that was took that very night was displayed on Mia's memorial.
