Mitch Wilson | 1:54am | Flooded Forest

I was holding onto James as he couldn't move for some reason, I was dragging him as I was swimming towards a roof of a shed.

"Hurry up! Those things are in the water!" Lacie yells at me.

"Yeah I know! Take a chill pill!" I angrily reply.

Lacie helps pull James up as I push him on top of the roof, however as I was about to hop onto the roof, something grabs my ankle.

I get pulled into the water as I try to kick the hand grasping my ankle, but the creature wouldn't let go.

"Mitch here!" Lacie yells as an axe falls into the water and I make a grab for it. I swing the axe as hard as I could in the water and manage to hurt the creature as it lets go.

I swim to the top and gasp for air as I climb onto the roof, throwing the axe onto the side. Lacie hugs me, "I thought I lost you there," Lacie says quietly as I whisper in ear, thanking her for helping me.

I turn back to look in the water and I realise that the roof of this shed wasn't safe for all three of us to stay in. I look around and to my surprise I could see a yacht floating above the boathouse that was underwater, but the distance from where we were to the boathouse was pretty far.

"We have to get to that yacht,"  I point out as Lacie looks at the yacht and looks shocked.

"Ok no offence, but are you stupid? That yacht is so fucking far from us," Lacie scolds at me.

"Well we don't have any plans, but I we have to get there, it's the only way we can get out of here," I suggest.

"Wait! Wait!" Lacie yells, "Didn't Chris once mentioned that he said we should try jet ski on the day we were leaving?" Lacie questions me as the thought suddenly comes back.

"The shed that we are standing on the lighthouse had the jet skis!" I shout in excitement.

I go in for kiss and we do it for a few seconds, "It feels like I haven't kissed you in forever," I laugh as she laughs as well.

"Alright stay here with James, I'm going to dive in," I reassure as she nods her head.

"Don't die, please," Lacie says quietly.

I look in the water and all I could see was the ground so I dive into the water and quickly swim inside the front of the shed and I could see two skis. I push one ski out of the shed and I push another. I start swimming out but then the creature grabs hold of my body and I start to panic.

Shit! Shit!

However I could feel the grasp loosen as I push myself out and I realise Lacie was down here as well, with the axe now inside the creature's head.

Both of swam up and I take a deep breath in.

"Thanks again," I go in for another kiss as Lacie pushes me away.

"Ok enough!" Lacie chuckles, "We can kiss on the boat-"

"Holy shit just stop the love show already," James randomly speaks.

"James!" I bro-hug him as he laughs as well, "what happened to you?"

"I got paralyse or some bullshit, the thing scratched me and I couldn't move afterwards," James informs us.

"Well now that you're mobile again, we should get on the skis and get to the yacht," Lacie states in relief.

James hops onto his own ski and Lacie and I hop onto the other. The jet skis miraculously starts its engine and we start moving closer to the yacht.

However, as we rode along the water, I could see in trees that there was those creatures hopping around and trying to get closer to us.

"Of fucking course they're up there!" I point out at the trees.

"Give us a break bitches!" Lacie screams as I sped up the jet ski.

A tree falls into the water and on top of it was one of the creatures.

Crap.

I hear a gunshot and I look over to James who had a pistol out and the creature falls into the water.

"Keep moving!" James yells.

I could hear several more gunshots as we drove around the tree and realising we were only halfway there.

A creature suddenly comes in for a surprise attack, but James shoots the monster in time.

"Fuck! Thanks man!" I call out.

We finally make it to the yacht as all over us jump off the skis and hop onto the yacht. I ran to the control centre and turn on the engine and start moving it away from the island.

"Wait! The others could still be out there," James yells at me.

"Who cares! We need to focus on our safety right now!" Lacie yells back.

"I'm sorry babe, he's right, if the others are still out there we can't just leave them," I state.

Lacie groans as she sat on the couch, "Fine but if we don't find any of them within an hour, we're leaving."

I nod my head and turn the yacht around.
