When the clock struck 5, Jennie decided to fix her belongings and headed out of the library. The sky was gloomy and she knew that the rain was going to pour. She regretted not carrying her umbrella with her since it was something that she carried with her most of the time. It felt new to have left her umbrella, she never forgets about her things.

Jennie fastened her steps and made her way out of the college campus. The café was not that far so she only had to walk for a few blocks to get there. However, the rain came earlier than she thought so she did not have a choice but to seek shelter at a random establishment since it was the nearest.

When she realized that the rain was not going to stop anytime soon, she thought of just running to the café despite of being wet; but something caught her eye in the midst of that.

The building behind her surprisingly was newly constructed. She noticed that today was the grand opening of a new café in the building but there were not as many customers. Honestly, there were only a few.

She observed the interior inside and noticed that there was an open space on the floor that was filled with pillows. Jennie imagined herself sipping warm coffee while lying there during a rainy weather so she did not hesitate to go inside the café.

A pink haired boy welcomed her with a smile. She stood on the counter and scanned the menu board. A smile crept up to her face when she realized that there were more choices that was up to her liking than the place that she always go to. Even though she haven't surrendered her guard yet since the taste should matter most.

"Please find a spot for yourself , your coffee will be given after a few minutes ma'am." The guy with pink hair ushered her to set anywhere she liked so she nodded her head and went straight to the floor where there were a lot of pillows. It was honestly like a huge fluffy bed with thin linens.

"Today is the opening, right?" She exclaimed when the pink haired boy placed her cup of coffee on a table near her.

"Yes, but I guess its not the greatest day to open after all since a storm is coming."

"A storm is coming?!" Jennie jolted in surprise for not knowing anything about the storm at all.

"You did not know? There were a lot of cancelled reservations because there's a storm." Jennie couldn't help but sigh.

The rain outside was only getting stronger and she was sure that it would be very hard to go home now since the bus stops will be filled with hurried passengers.

"Well, would you mind if I stay here until the storm dies down? I can't go home easily anyway, I have my thesis right here and I can't put any single harm to it." She gave her puppy eyes to the pink haired guy and noticed that he had his name tag on.

"Please Daniel." She earned a soft laugh from him upon agreeing that she can stay.

All the customers were gone, they all headed home and she was the only person left.

"So, is this place yours?" She was wondering as to why there were no other staff aside from him.

"I own this place." He decided to just sit down across her and chat since they have nothing else to do anyways.

The shop is already considered as closed without any customers.

"You work alone?" She admired the place and ate a spoonful of the red velvet cake that was given to her for free.

"No, I let my staff go home since there's a storm."

"Oh yeah, how come I haven't thought about that." They both chuckled and continued to get to know each other despite the strong wind and heavy rainfall that was happening just outside.

"Hey, I haven't asked for your name yet though."

"It's Jennie."

"Just Jennie?"

"Well I want to let my name stay like that. I don't know your surname too, just Daniel. I prefer it that way." Daniel nodded his head.

"It's already late, the storm is said to go stronger though." Daniel exclaimed as he scrolled through his feed for any news updates.

"What, the storm is not letting me come home?"

"I guess you're stuck here with me Jennie."

"Honestly Daniel, I'm really thankful that you are letting me stay here. Plus, you are accompanying me."

"It's a pleasure then, I made a good friend because of a storm."

"Yeah, nice to meet you chingu."

"Nice to meet you too, chingu."

The both of them erupted to fits of laughter and waited for the storm to go away.
