This was it. The sunrise. Orange and blue to begin, stretching over the horizon to the east. Sabine smiled from her position on the dock.
It was noticeable now that the house had a lot of acreage to it. No neighbors near, on a dirt road, all alone. With the perfect clash of colour to make sense.
A building could be seen, a wood structure that homes a slide that lead out to the pond, and a line that homed a handle, obviously a zip line, that went straight to the other end of the pond, which was extremely wide, not to be estimated accurately.
Sabine sat up, pulling her feet from the water. They were slightly pruned now, because she had been resting them on and off in the water all night. She scratched the back of her head, under her hair, and yawned, big and wide. She smiled at the sunrise, something that could set the mood for a wonderful or bloody day.
She watched the sun come up slowly, when in all reality, the world was just turning slowly. She thought of the boys she had been talking to Nada about. Kyle and Ashton. Ashton had been cute. Blonde with blue eyes. Misty blue, though, giving a mysterious sense of the boy. He had had a roman nose and thin lips. He had been white, very white, but it went well for him.
Kyle had been more of Nada's type, Sabine figured, only because of the way he was. He saw everything the same way she saw it- perfect in it's own way. He had brown hair and hazel eyes. A celestial nose and thick, almost pouty lips, very red, with white teeth, that he regularly smiled with. He was nice, and Sabine liked that, but could only stand it to a certain extent.
He liked Nada. And Nada liked him. But he wouldn't go out with her, ever, even in high school or college. Just because he didn't know exactly who he was. He was confused, as his parents were gay and he had been adopted.
He hadn't told her that, though. She just knew. Because, when you were Sabine, you knew things.
She knew that Nada didn't like swearing, that Nada was afraid of her. Nada counted. And patterned. She had massive obsessive compulsive disorder, even though the doctor diagnosed it minor.
No one had told her this. No one had told her anything. No one had to.
The sun was up now. Nada would probably be getting out of bed soon, would unlock the door, and would allow Sabine inside.
Isn't this perfect, love? No one expects anything.
Sabine smiled to herself and brushed her hand through her hair. Perfect. Brilliant.
People used to think she was crazy. They would accuse her of things that she couldn't even control. Okay, she was abnormal and could profile someone by their voice, their looks, their posture. No one could control who you are or how you act, right? You could control how you take that, though.
She wasn't dumb. She wasn't liked, and she knew that. Though, she was actually okay with that.
The sun was at full rise now. No more streaks of colour, all just one bright sky. So clear. So perfect. Today would be okay.
The lock on the door clicked and it opened slowly. Nada stepped out, wearing a pair of Bermuda shorts and a green and blue tee shirt, her hair twisted into a braid.
She is so perfect. I want her.
A small smile spread across Sabine's lips, as she thought. "Good morning, Love."
"Good morning, Sabine. Breakfast?"
