It was getting dark. Everyone had showered except Nada. She stood in her bikini, a blue twisted looking top and blue bottoms with diamond studs on them, looking at the pond from the balcony area that the zip line started. She was supposed to pull in it and tie it up, but she just wanted to sit.
An hour ago, she was supposed to tie it up. But it still hung there, a spider danging in front of her nose. She didn't even swat at it, just let it live. She sat down, dangling her feet off the edge of the wood holding her up. She half wanted to dive in and just drown. Sabine was hurting her more than ever just by breathing.
Nada had never wished anyone dead- that's how she knew for a fact that there was something different about Sabine. She always looked at the bright side, that every person was born to live. But Sabine, she couldn't be a person. She was something completely different.
A sigh was let out of the small girl sitting on the balcony area as she looked at her feet. They were so small. Against what seemed like endless blue. Small Egyptian feet that were only size seven and a half. She, herself, was only around five foot. She leaned back and looked at the sky.
The full moon could be seen and stars started to twinkle on. Dark came fast, and she could see why Sabine liked to stay out at night.
"Hello, stranger." Kyle's voice.
Nada closed her eyes, thinking of the sexy hum he spoke with.
"What? Don't want to talk to me?"
Nada opened her eyes, only seeing the silhouette of her best friend. "I can't talk now. I'm concentrating."
"On what?"
"Nothing."
"How is that concentrating?" He sat next to her, leaning over close enough for her to smell his breath. Minty. She smiled, but closed her eyes again.
"If I concentrate on pure nothingness, I can calm down easier."
"Can we talk?" He asked. Anything that had been a previous joke was gone.
Nada shook her head, her black hair whipping her in the face. "As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing to talk about."
Kyle shook his head. He leaned down and kissed her, a quick peck on the lips. "Want to have some fun?"
"What kind of fun?" Nada asked cautiously.
Kyle picked her up and tossed her into the pool, shimmying out of his shorts and tee shirt and jumping in after her. He swam up to her, then pulled her to a shallow part, pulling her against him. "Nada,"
She looked up at him, not really seeing him in the darkness, only the moon illuminating him, casting an eerie glow on his skin. Kyle, her best friend, stood in front of her with only his boxers on. No shirt. And in need of probably another shower. This time, it would be in the hose.
"Nada, Nada, Nada." He pressed his lips against her neck.
"Kyle," She choked on his name, looking at him.
He pushed her back. "Want to go full out skinny dipping?" He smiled.
She laughed. "I'd think it hardly appropriate."
"But fun," He smiled and unstrapped her bikini top.
"Kyle," She giggled, pushing him back, but letting her top fall down. She backed into the deep end, fully submerging her breasts under water.
He smiled at her. And I thought I was gay. Ha.
--
Sabine stood by the back window. She watched the pond, watched Kyle and Nada.
This couldn't happen. He was supposed to be gay.
She felt angry. Very angry. Heat flushed her cheeks. Her hands clenched at her sides. She watched Kyle and Nada kiss, and noticed that they were actually skinny dipping. The goody two-shoes. There was no way that she could get Nada's mom, Mal, at this point.
She spun on her heel and stalked to her room. Kayla and Sarah were sleeping in there tonight. They weren't friends with Nada. Not anymore.
Sabine was slowly ruining Nada's life, though she didn't realize. She smiled mischieviously as she approached her room.
