This is it. Nada thought, rolling over. This is going to be the last time. She groaned and rubbed her face. She had fallen asleep, that much was evident. Sometime between midight and now.

She kicked the blankets off of her and sat up. Her whole back cracked as she sat up, and she fell back down. You have to get up. Now! Get up.

"Nada," Kale's voice came from her door. "It's time to get up, sis."

She groaned again and let her eyes flutter open. Her eyelids were so heavy! She stretched and felt her shoulders pop. Good God.

"Kale," She mumbled, yawning.

"Yeah?"

"Get out of my room."

She heard the door shut and sat up. She yawned again and sighed. It was Friday. It had been a long week. She just wanted to go back to sleep and sleep forever. But, she couldn't. Not with Sabine on the loose.

Nada trudged to her closet and pulled on a camisole and a black over shirt that hung off on shoulder with LOVE written in melting letters. Maybe that would make her look better than she felt. She put on a pair of flare jeans and neon green knee high socks, sliding on her high tops.

Covering a yawn, she dragged her feet to her bathroom and brushed her hair. Kneeling over the bath tub, she washed her hair, then towel dried it. Brushing it again, she pulled it back into a tight braid. She washed her face with the Clean and Clear morning burst stuff, but even that couldn't wake her up.

I feel like I've been drugged. She thought, stalking down the hall and into the kitchen.

Mal was slumped over the counter with her cup of coffee for the day. Nada poured herself a large glass and chugged it down. She hated coffee, but hopefully it would wake her up.

Kale came in, slamming the door, smiling. He held up a Monster Assault to Nada and she gladly took it, chugging it down. She didn't like energy drinks, either, but it was one of those days. Kale made her a bowl of cereal, and it was all she could do to eat it and not slam her face into it in sleep.

"Why am I so tired?" She asked.

"Catching up from all those years from insomnia." Kale smiled and kissed her on the top of the head. "I'm heading to school. Bye, see you tonight."

As soon as he left, the bitchy blonde came out of her room, bags under her eyes and a yawn esaping her mouth.

"We're all tired today." Mal sighed, handing Sabine a bowl and box of cereal.

Nada got herself a glass of orange juice and chugged it down. Omigod. She would have thought Sabine drugged her if she hadn't been tired herself. She couldn't remember taking any sleeping pills last night, so it made no sense.

"The moon's changing." Sabine mumbled. "Full moon tonight. Be prepared to start your period early and being tired all day."

That made no sense, either. It had never happened before, but Nada decided to take extra tampons to school, just in case.

"Kyle's picking me up." Nada said, sliding off the stool and walking outside. He had gotten his own car on Wednesday, and he had driven her to school every day since then.

Sabine strolled out behind her. "Hey, is Kyle coming over tonight?"

"Uhm, yeah." Nada felt uncomfortable talking to Sabine. She had avoided her as much as possible, burrying herself in books and homework.

"Great. I'm having some friends over, too. So we can have like a party."

Kyle pulled up then, and Nada just gave Sabine a nod and got in the car, leaning over the center counsel and kissing him. "Drive."

--

School was long. Nada tried her best to avoid everyone. Kit had let off Kyle yesterday, and Nada was hanging out with him again. She heard people mutter about how she went back and forth between guys, when she had been with Kyle all along.

Lunch was mystery meat on moldy buns, with some red stuff that they called jello- it didn't even jiggle.

Nada slid her lunch tray across the table, watching it clatter to the floor. That was disgusting. At least she was awake, though. It had taken her four hours.

"You have to eat something."

"I'll eat real food tonight when we get to my house. This is gross beyond anything. Seriously, there is mold on this bun, babe."

Kyle laughed and shoke his brown paper bag. "That's why Robin packs my lunches for me. Every morning."

Nada scooted her chair closer to him, resting her chin on his shoulder and batting his eyes at him. He turned and smiled. She smiled back. "So what did he pack you today?"

"A BLT, a smoothie thing, and pudding."

"Can I have half of this famous BLT?"

"As a matter of fact," Kyle said pulling it out. "It is famous, because Robin can cook."

Nada laughed. "That's why I want some of it."

Kyle broke the sandwich in half and gave it to his best friend.

This was it, wasn't it? This would be Nada's last day with him. It was like she was moving or something, but he was just dying. She sighed as she ate her sandwich.

"Is it not good?" Kyle's brow furrowed.

"No, it's too good." Nada laughed.

Kyle joined her, and they pulled looks from people at other tables, but they didn't care.

What did they find so funny? Even they had no idea, as they were practically falling out of their chairs laughing.

The lunch bell rang and they walked out of the cafeteria together, Nada holding onto Kyle.

--

His locker was a mess. He had two hoodies, an extra shirt, a pair of sneakers, an extra pair of jeans, and his books and graded assignments everywhere. Nada laughed looking in her boyfriend's locker.

He smiled and closed it, putting his arm around her. "So?"

"I had a test last hour, I think I flunked. But I couldn't consentrate."

"Hey," He squeezed her shoulder. "Don't worry. I'm sure you did great."

It was finally the end of the day and Kyle was going to take Nada home. He had to stop by his house to get clothes.

"No," She said as they walked out the door, his arm around her.

"How are you so sure?"

"Because it was harder than it should have be-" She was cut off by Kyle leaning in and kissing her suddenly.

When he pulled away, she bit her lip and smiled. "Well, that was.... Sudden."

"It wasn't harder than it should have been. It was equally hard as the others you've taken. Your mind is just blocked, babe. You did fine."

She smiled and laced their fingers. She was happy to be with him. What would she do without him?
