"So, uhm, yeah, Caitlyn. By the power of three to two, you are officially out of the clique we have going on here." Kitty said slowly.

Caitlyn looked bewildered, all dressed up in her pretty pink silk pyjamas. Her hair was in a pony tail, and she had a soda sitting next to her on the floor. "What? You can't kick me out. I made you who you are! You are nothing without me."

"As a matter of fact, Caitlyn, we have a born leader among our ranks." Sabine said, patting Kitty's back. This was the beginning of the plan, obviously, since Kitty was no leader of any way.

Kitty's eyes widened. "I voted, I can't lead."

"Shut up, Kit." Zoe snapped. "Anyway, yeah, only clique members are aloud in my house, so you should probably leave now."

Caitlyn slowly stood up and grabbed her bag.

"Oh," Zoe added. "I expect to get all my shit back. You know, all the things you took and didn't think I'd realize."

Caitlyn's face went pink as her outfit and she left the room.

"Now, Kitty," Sabine smiled. "I'm afraid you'll have to leave, too, if you disagree with the leadership we have decided upon."

"I-uh- what exactly have we decided upon?"

"Zoe and I are leading together." Sabine smiled. "But you follow behind us."

Kitty nodded. "Fine by me. That just means I don't have to try to rule anything. I just need friends."

"Perfect." Sabine agreed. "Now, moving on. Monday morning, I need you two to help me. Don't let Nada be near Kyle. Kitty, you flirt with Kyle as much as possible and make it look like he's flirting back. Zoe, you try to keep Nada and Ashton close together. Phase one of my plan is in action."

An evil smile crept across all three girls's faces.

Sabine was getting her power.

--

It was starting to get cold. Watching Kyle was boring as hell. He was asleep, for God's sake. And Ashton was cold. He just wanted to go home! But Sabine.... If she found out, he knew she'd snap his neck like a twig. And that would hurt.

Winter was coming too quick to Michigan, that was for sure. He wouldn't be surprised if it snowed before homecoming. This was wicked cold. He rubbed his hands together for warmth. This was crazy! Kyle wasn't even moving, he was so sound asleep. Not like Ashton would be able to tell, anyway. It was dark as midnight in his room.

Ashton started jumping up and down and running in place. He was going to die of hypothermia. That was a fact at this point.

His cell phone started vibrating. Sabine was calling.

"Hey, babe."

"Cut the shit, Ashton. I told you we're done. Okay? What's Kyle doing?"

"Sleeping." Ashton responded.

"You sure?" She asked, obviously completely skeptical.

"He hasn't moved since midnight, Sabine. There is nothing going on. I'm watching him sleep. God, that makes me sound like a rapist."

"Yeah, it does, big shot. Now, go home. We strike on Monday with phase one. You know what to do?"

"Of course I know what to do," He snapped into the cell phone.

"You're lucky you are crucial to my plan." With that, the pretty blonde hung up her phone.

Ashton sighed and started walking home, feeling drops fall on him. White drops. It was snowing already. Damn Michigan. Tomorrow, it'd probably be ninety.

Why does Sabine have to do this? I mean, I only went out with her cause Nada was taken, and Kyle's only going out with her to prove to himself that he's not gay, but.... Come on. She has to kill to get her way? Nada would never go for her! Nada is a heterosexual. If only Sabine would listen to me.

Ashton thought back to his conversation with Sabine on Thursday and felt himself shudder. This was going to be a long week. By Saturday, everyone would be begging to die as is. Even Kitty and Zoe, probably. Or they'd be so high on their power that they'd help.

Either way, this next week was bound to be a tragedy. Nada would probably live, but Kyle and Ashton would die. So would Mal and Kale and Jeff. That would leave Sabine and Nada to go live somewhere else, then Nada would protest and turn Sabine in and Sabine would kill Nada then herself. All leading up to one large murder-suicide.

He thought of The Shining, a book by Stephen King. Redrum. Maybe that could be his code word, too? Someone was bound to be murdered, and if he wrote it somewhere where an adult would see it in a mirror....

No. That wouldn't work. They'd have to fight, clawing till the death.

Zoe would be best off with her dagger nails.

--

Sleep barely ever came over Nada anymore. She wished she was wrapped in Kyle's arms. She felt so.... vulnerable.

Curling up into a ball, she made herself as small as possible.

"Nada?" The door creaked open.

"Kale?"

"Yeah. Uhm, can I sleep in your room? I know that seems weird, but I- uh, I don't feel right on the couch. I'm not scared but-"

"I get it, I feel the same way, Bro." Nada scooted over and Kale laid down next to her.

He fell asleep quickly, and she laid, looking at the glow-in-the-dark stars above her bed, remembering Kyle's embrace. Maybe she should just remember that.

Thinking of him, she slowly drifted into a very light sleep.
