The end of the day couldn't come quick enough. As soon as the final bell rang, Nada went to her locker, packed up her homework, and grabbed her duffel bag. She was ready for a sleep over with Kyle.... And Ashton. But mainly Kyle.

She was walking to Kyle's locker when she noticed Sabine and Ashton. Ashton had Sabine pressed up against his locker, they were full-fledged making out. Her hands were tangled in his hair, and his hands were pressed against the locker behind her. Her back wads completely straight against his locker, which made it easy for her to wrap her legs around his waist. Although, one was a lot lower than the other.

Nada rolled her eyes and passed them, yelling get a room on the way by. Seriously, it seemed as though they'd rip each other's clothes off in the process- in the middle of the freaking hallway!

Kyle was waiting for his girl. He could tell that she wasn't very happy about something, but smiled at her nonetheless, taking her duffel bag. "Woah, girl! How much do you need for one night?" He joked. It was actually very light.

Nada rolled her eyes but still smiled. She knew when Kyle was joking. She'd known him long enough. "Are we going straight to your house?"

He looked at her quizzically and smiled. "No. I thought I'd take you out to dinner first."

She felt herself blush and looked away. "Really?"

"If you want to go, yeah." He wrapped his arm around her waist.

She nodded and said no more. She thought they'd probably eat at McDonald's or some other fast food restaurant. Which was okay, but not really for a date. Especially like a first date.

"Or we could just go to my house and have my dads cook for you." Kyle whispered, kissing her head.

One thing she liked the most about Kyle was that he was open about the fact that he had two dads. And he was okay with that. He just didn't flaunt it.

"Kyle, it's completely up to you." Secretly, she just wanted to go to Kyle's house and relax. She wanted away from Sabine, who had been clinging to Ashton all freaking day! When did they even start going out? Wasn't she lesbian? It made no sense.

They started walking down the street, Kyle randomly grabbing her. They laughed and chased each other all the way to his house. The picture perfect couple.

--

Ashton had left Sabine what seemed like forever ago, and she was so happy he was finally out of her hair. That stupid boy. She slowly walked out of the school, getting on the school bus. Kids were all screaming and yelling and throwing paper wads and pencils at each other.

When Sabine got to the back of the bus, everyone stopped moving, sitting straight and looking forward.

"Exactly." She said, loud enough for everyone to hear. "You do as I say. Now, you." She pointed to a boy that was in the very back right seat, the only seat that would fit one person. "Move your ass."

He did as she said. She finally had people fearing her, she just didn't know how it really worked. She didn't think her face was menacing. But, she wasn't one to question what power she had over other individuals.

The bus ride home was fairly quiet, and Sabine was the last one off. She slowly walked up the driveway and noticed a car that she didn't recognize. Running into the house to learn who this person was, she realized it could only be one person, really.

Jeff, Nada's dad, sat in the living room, on the couch, talking with Mal. they were talking in hushed voices.

Sabine greeted them, and walked into her room.

This was getting more and more interesting.

--

Nada and Kyle sat in Kyle's room. His bed was big and soft, and his room was pretty big as well. It was painted a sharp red colour, one that would take a lot to paint over. The floor had random pieces of clothing on it, and a television that was hooked up to an Xbox and a Wii and Playstation was also in the little cubbys under the television, part of the television stand.

He did have a poster or two up of random bands and techno music. Other than that, the room was empty.

Nada lay back on the bed, looking at the ceiling. A large, blown up picture was hung above the bed, like her stars, of the two of them together when they were little. Her face was all distorted and Kyle was laughing, holding a pink, juicy worm up to her face. She remembered he had told her to lick it.

It was in front of her pond, so they were both in their bathing suits. Kyle's was red and black stripes, and Nada had a one piece Ariel: The Little Mermaid swim suit. She remembered she had been in love with it, and was heart broken when she grew out of it.

She was brought out of her memory when Kyle started laughing. He was laying next to her, looking at the same picture.

"That was forever ago, and I should get a new picture, but I love that one so much, I don't want to change it."

"So don't." Nada smiled, turning to her best friend. "Just move it to a different part of the ceiling and put up another one."

"They cost a bit to blow up." He shrugged. "But that's a good idea."

She nodded and looked back at the ceiling and let out a final laugh. He took her hand in his and they looked at each other. Wasn't this in a movie once? She thought so.

He leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"Why don't we go and look for a better picture of the two of us?" She asked.

He nodded. "I'll have my dad drive us to your house. You've got a lot of good pictures of us."

Nada smiled. "And my mom could take more if we asked her."

They asked Robin to take them. He was a tall, kind of burly guy with a lot of black hair. He agreed and drove them to Nada's house.

Sabine was already there, and Nada recognized the black car that was parked in their driveway.

"My dad's here, Kyle." She whispered. "I don't know if this is good or bad."

Kyle told his dad that he'd get a ride from either my mom or dad, and they'd be home in time for dinner.

With that, they got out of the car and started walking up the rest of the driveway.
