Sabine noticed that Kyle and Nada were no longer at the dock. She flipped her wet hair over her shoulder, her blue eyes darting around. There was nothing to signify where they went. Shit.

Kayla came down the zip line and caused a large splash, dipping Sabine under water. She came up, spitting water out of her mouth, turning to glare at the brown haired beaut, she realized that Nada must have taken the golf cart.

Sarah crashed down, next, and Justin was winding it back up, getting ready to come down when Sabine screamed.

Nada would not get her way. She was on a mission to complete what she started.

--

Nada and Kyle stood in the tree house.

"Yes, Kyle?"

"I wanted to tell you that I don't trust Sabine, either."

Nada smiled, her teeth looking really shiny. Kyle realized then that he wanted this girl. Wanted her so bad it hurt him on the inside. He knew her well enough to know how to make her happy, znd he wanted to be with her.

"Is something bothering you, Kyle?" Nada asked, opening the shutters on the north wall. She started picking up books according to author.

"Nada," Kyle took a step forward. "Do you like me?"

Nada looked up, dropping her books. "What?"

"I was wondering.... Do you like me?"

"As a friend?" Nada's green eyes seemed to cloud, and Kyle had a sinking feeling in his stomach when he saw and heard her.

"No."

"As more than a friend?" She asked.

He nodded, his brown hair feeling like there was a flip to it.

Nada looked into his hazel eyes. They were worried, she realized. He was worried. She did like him, though. She nodded.

"Really?" His eyes brightened, and his cheeks flamed. She felt her's do the same.

"Yeah, really. I didn't want to tell you because I knew you were confused." She shrugged and picked her books back up.

Kyle knew not to just grab her. She hated that. But maybe she'd want that? No, he knew for a fact she wouldn't. She had massive OCD, though she denied it. He walked over to the open shutters and looked at the lush green trees. They'd be turning colours soon, and then there would be snow. Michigan had only three seasons- hot, cold, and mud.

He smiled as he looked down at the paths that wound through Nada's property. He realized that she was standing next to him, not looking out the window, though. Her back was turned to the woods, and she was looking at him, leaning on the window, clutching it with her hands, elbows bent out toward the woods.

Backing up a little, he looked at her. Her black hair flowed perfectly over her shoulders, reaching as far as it could go. Her eyes sparkled with something he had never seen in her eyes, so he wasn't sure what. Her full, pink lips were curved in a slight smile, and she stood straight. Something about being obsessive of her posture.

She stared back at him, waiting. He looked like he might come forward and wrap his arms around her, but he also looked like he wouldn't. She gave a small nod, hardly noticeable if you weren't looking for it.

One step. Two steps, and he put his hands next to her's on the sill, leaning against her. "Is it okay?" He asked.

Her smile deepened and her lips parted seductively. She wanted it. He wanted it.

He leaned down and kissed her softly, gently brushing her lips with his. Barely a kiss to call a kiss, especially the first one. She leaned into him a little more, pressing her lips straight to his. He was caught off guard and almost stumbled back, but instead moved his hands from the window to her waist. She snaked her arms around his neck.

Nada knew she shouldn't be doing this. But she wanted to. Kyle may have been her best friend, but who cared when you sat in the lap of potential love?

She pulled away from him, looking into his eyes. I shouldn't have done that.

Kyle looked back at her, her lovely green eyes, showing regret. Her lips that he just wanted to kiss again and again.

He moved his hands to her hips, raising his right arm to brush aside her hair. "Don't regret anything, Nada. It was my choice and yours. We're still friends."

"What if- what if I want to be more than friends, Kyle?"

He smiled, and her heart skipped a beat. He kissed her cheek. "Maybe we should wait for that."

"How long do you expect to wait?"

"We're still young." He brushed his lips across her cheek, then froze, staring out the window.

Nada turned, then felt herself go pink.

Kyle dropped his hands and turned away.

Sabine stood at the edge of the path, with Nada's mom and every other person that had been invited.

Justin and Ashton were giving thumbs up signs. Sabine looked royally pissed, and Nada's mom looked confused.

Nada slammed the shutters closed and fell to the floor of the tree house, crying.
