This was like nothing else. The room was completely painted white with a rainbow painted on one wall, splatter paint everywhere else. The room's furniture was pink and completely clashed.

Sabine held in the horror, and faked a smile. "I have a question for you, Zoe,"

Caitlyn had left to go greet Kitty. Zoe nodded, closing the door.

"Don't you want the power Caitlyn has?" Sabine asked. She was lusting for the power. How could Zoe not?

Zoe smiled, nodding. "Yes, kind of. I'm really only in this group so I'm not left alone anymore. I have more friends than before, but I think more people fear us than anything. I haven't had a boyfriend since I've joined this, cause Caitlyn's gone out with all the attractive guys, and Kitty's gotten the decent guys. And Ashton.... You have him. So, yeah. Power would be nice, but-" She stopped herself and smiled. "But, I'm lower than Cait. So I deal."

"I don't get this. If you want it, then can't you get it? I mean, if you fight enough-"

"I'm not going to end up like Kyleigh." Zoe snapped. She took a breath and turned to her window, watching Kitty and Caitlyn talking. About what?

"What happened to Kyleigh?"

Zoe shook her head. It was forbidden to talk about, and she wasn't about to break rules. Not even for the newbe.

Slowly, very slowly, Zoe pulled out a folder. Printed in big black block letters, it said ZOE . Sabine looked at it quietly. Inside were all kinda of pictures, pictures that made her feel.... bad.

Zoe was a really good drawer. And there were pictures of herself. With a boy that Sabine didn't recognize, looking happy and in love. They were blown up to look like they were portfolio size. Before she could ask, Zoe was speaking.

"Before I became a plastic, Sabine, I was a lot happier. I would draw all the time, and I was like a model. I could be with anyone. I could be happy. I joined this for the same reason you did- to bring down Caitlyn, to gain power. But the lust for power isn't as fun as I believed it'd be. It wasn't worth the sadness.

"Though, through all of this, I have been able to draw more. More sadness, more anger, more hatred. I haven't been the same since the beginning of this year. I was told last year I was joining. Now, though, since you and I are in the same grade, I can just drop out." Zoe smiled.

Sabine shook her head, closing the folder. "No. You can't drop. You have to help me take down the plastic power." That's not what she wanted. She wanted that power, to have dominance over the entire school! And when she finally got it.... Who would remember Caitlyn or Kitty? Zoe would be her accomplice, and then Nada would finally be her's. Kyle would have to go, of course. This plan was forming perfectly.

--

Kale and Nada sat in Nada's room, talking about what they had been through since they were torn apart. Kale told about how Jeff had tried to date another woman, but it didn't work out. And Nada told how Aunt Kim was trying really hard to tear the family apart. But then died. she left out how Sabine killed her.

"Well, Nada," Kale said quietly. "It was nice talking to you, but I should head to bed."

"Where are you sleeping?"

"The couch." He laughed. "But, that's cool. Cause it's better than the floor. Night."

She nodded and he left. She laid back on her bed, then pulled out a photo album from her top shelf.

On it printed in big bold letters read Best Friends. She opened it and started going through her and Kyle's old pictures. Memories flooded back to her and she started to cry.

Why was she going out with him? He was her best friend. What would happen if they broke up? Would they stop being friends? Things would probably be so awkward. But, she was with him now, right? And they were happy. And Sabine seemed to be a little more sane now that school had started and she had friends.

Oh, God. Friends with power.

Sabine wanted power, Nada knew that much.

Shit.

--

Kyle was laying in bed, looking at the new pictures he hung up. A picture of him, Ashton, Kayla, Sarah, and Nada at a pool party, him with his arm around Nada. Another was a picture of them on her birthday, where he was hugging her.

But his favourite, the one that was right above his head, was the one that her mom had taken. Recently. Where he was holding her closely, kissing her cheek. She was in her blue bikini. He was in Hawaiian swim trunks. Sabine was in the background, looking disgusted.

He was happy she was disgusted. He hated her and the same was the other way around. She would rot in Hell, he knew that. But, when exactly would that be? She'd have to die first, and she'd kill many more before she died herself.

And Michigan didn't have a fucking death penalty anymore.

He sighed and rolled onto his stomach. He wished that Nada was with him. She was safer with him. He knew that. But he wasn't safer with her. He also knew that. He didn't care. He loved her. He'd loved her for a long time. And he wanted to be with her for forever.

He sighed again and turned off his lamp. But he couldn't sleep. It wasn't possible. Not tonight. He felt like there was someone watching him.

Though, there was, he would never see it.

Ashton hid in the shadows outside the window, watching the restless boy inside. He remembered what Sabine told him to do. And he wasn't sure if he wanted to, but it he valued his life, he would.

He just had to wait for Sabine to give him the OK.
