The car ride home was pretty silent. Kyle talked a bit, but not much. Nada was stressed, he could tell, and she didn't really want to talk.

When they arrived at the house, it was empty. No Sabine and her friends, no Ashton, no Mal or Jeff or even Kale. Nada quietly walked to her bedroom, and Kyle dropped his newly packed bag on the bed. He pulled her into a hug.

"I love you." He said into her neck. He wanted to run his fingers through her hair, but he couldn't, since her hair was pulled back.

"I love you, too." She said quietly.

There was a loud crash from the kitchen, and they jerked away from each other.

"I'll go check it out." Nada said quietly, starting for her closed door.

Kyle grabbed a hold of her but let her go. What could happen? She was in her house, Mal should have been there somewhere, right?

Nada moved down the hall quickly and into the kitchen. Kyle waited in anticipation for her to return, pacing the floor of her room. He went through his bag twice, not knowing what to do.

"It's okay. A pot just fell from the rack my mom had set up." Nada came in, closing the door. She kissed his cheek and smiled at him.

"NADA!" Mal's scream was urgent. Like a blood curdling scream mixed with her name.

She pushed Kyle away and started running outside. He was right on her heels. Just as she burst out the door, she saw something she didn't really want to see: Her mom tied up on the platform that the zip line hung on. Tied up like a witch for trial.

"MOM!" Nada screamed. Started running.

"NO, Nada!" Kyle called just as Sabine came around the corner of the house, clotheslining Nada. Kyle winced. Nada had to have been seeing stars.

"Leave her alone, Sabine." Kyle growled.

"You see, Kyle," Sabine smiled, her blonde hair falling in perfect ringlets around her face- freshly curled ringlets. "It's not Nada I want to get rid of." Her smile was evil, menacing. Nada groaned from where she was on the ground.

"You don't have to hurt anyone." Kyle said.

Sabine shook her head. "Kitty," She called. Kitty came around the corner, a big grin on her face. She had the power she wanted now. "Take Nada to my room, lock her in there. We've got a little game we're going to play."

Kitty grabbed Nada, and the small girl with black hair started fighting. Zoe and Ashton both came out, helping Kitty.

But the look on Ashton's face, Kyle noticed, wasn't one of vengeance. More like one of sorrow. Because, he loved Nada, too.

--

Nada woke up in a dark room. It was night, obviously. Her head hurt, in the back, and she was seeing stars.

Kyle. Was the first thought on her mind. Where's Kyle?

"Nada," Sabine's voice came from a corner, and the light flicked on. They were in Sabine's room. All the posters were torn down. Some of the furniture was smashed. There was a struggle, for sure.

"Wh-Where's Kyle?"

"Shh, shh, I have a game for you." Sabine's smile was evil, wicked.

"What?"

"A game." She looked out the window, then pulled down the shade. "The objective is to save them. You have five people to save. Mal, Jeff, Kale, Kyle, and Ashton. You have two hours. Anyone you don't save and get to safety, I get to kill."
