There was a feeling of intensity among the four teens sitting at the lunch table. More like scaredness. Other than Sabine, of course. She was wearing her confidence like a gold medal that was twice her size.
Ashton had taken Nada's hand long ago, and was still crushing it with force she didn't know he had. She held back from a cry of pain, and he wanted to loosen up. But Sabine was making him do this.... And he didn't want to piss her off.
Kyle held Nada's other hand, her left hand. He knew that there was something wrong about all of this, too. Sabine not only looked different, but the way she sat, the way she smiled, that was all different, too. He couldn't help but stare at her, then stare at the plastic, all clad in purple, walking up to the table.
Oh, God. both guys and Nada thought. Caitlyn had a smile plastered to her face. Unfortunately, only miss blue followed. Zoe. Where was Kitty?
"Hello, there, sophomore and juniors. How are you?" Caitlyn asked, pulling up a seat. Zoe did the same.
Sabine smiled back, but there was venom in her smile. Almost a glare in her eyes.
"Well, you are a junior, right Sabine?"
Sabine shook her head. "I'm a year younger than everyone here." She glanced around the table.
"Huh," Caitlyn looked at Zoe, giving a smile that branched off in poison. "Then, I'll make a new rule. Zoe, go get Kitty."
Zoe leaved and hurried off in her four inch heels. Caitlyn took Nada's apple and took a bite of the pure red skin. Juice dribbled out of the corner of her mouth and she tapped it with her finger.
When Kitty came back, trailing behind Zoe, she had a smile on her face.
"Okay, girls." Caitlyn greeted, looking from Kitty to Zoe. "I've decided to change the rules."
Nada had a bad feeling about where this was going. Sabine, had a growing joy, watching the way that Caitlyn dominated. Oh, the power of the plastics.
"We would like you to be one of us, Sabine? One of the populars. The most loved in the whole school? Can date anyone you want?"
"I'm with who I want, thanks." Sabine replied, turning away from the girls.
"Well, you could stay with him." Kitty replied in her weak, high pitched voice. She was obviously not a leader.
Sabine couldn't help but smile. She could dominate these girls in no time. And getting rid of Zoe could help her. A lot.
Zoe had long, long brown hair, flowing to her waist, and completely straight. Her skirt went to the floor, fluttering around her as she would walk. Her finger nails were painted a bright blue, and they were really long. Her face was a dark brown, and her eyes were a pretty hazel. Her lips were really full, and her nose was small. Her voice, though, was strong when she spoke. She was a leader. Just not of this group.
And Sabine, she liked that. But she needed complete dominance.
And complete dominance, she would get, right.
"You know," Zoe said. "It's not that bad being us. It's really fun, and you rule the school. How about it?"
Caitlyn shot her friend a look that said shut the fuck up and stick to the plan, stupid bitch. Or something like that.
So she has control issues. Sabine thought. Oh, perfect.
"We thought it would be cool if you would join us, Sabine." Caitlyn smiled.
"What colour would I have to wear every day?"
Caitlyn smiled again. "It changes. This week, stick to red. We have sleep overs every Saturday night. You'll come?"
Sabine glanced around the table. "Yeah, I'll come. Who's house?"
"Mine," Zoe said. "I'll give you directions later."
With that, they all left.
Great, another delay to Sabine's plan. But, this was getting better. It would be easier to form this plan around popularity as well. And red? She had no red skirts. She'd figure it out, anyway.
--
Saturday came swiftly with no problems. Ashton's hand was fractured from Sabine holding it too tightly and Nada's was nearly broken from Ashton following Sabine's command. Nada would be up late at night, crying from the pain.
Sabine was packed and ready to leave. Mal drove her to the party, and she was in front of a large, four story house outside of town. It was beige with large windows and a very red door. Zoe and Caitlyn were standing outside in the green yard that was dotted with trees.
Sabine got out of the car, sending Mal on her way. The girls smiled and walked up to their newest team member, greeting her formally.
"Come inside. Dinner is at seven, which gives us an hour." Zoe smiled and led Sabine up to the fourth floor. She had the entire floor to herself. Lucky bitch.
This was going to be a horrific night, Sabine realized, as Zoe opened the door to her bedroom.
