Chapter One

The house was a purple. Not really a PURPLE but more of a puuuurple. Light, yet still deep. The shutters were a bright pink, and it was almost a scary clash. A clash that almost came together in a strange way. One story, it stood tall and proud upon a tall hill in the small suburb of Clare, Michigan.

A pond was noticable in the back yard. A huge pond, clear, but dark at the same time. Almost a contrast like the house itself. Rocks and a dock surrounded the beauty. The water was still, as it was nearly dark.

The dock swayed slightly as a light breeze came from no where. Leaves whispered in the breeze and it sounded almost like a mysterious giggle.

Two girls, giggling and smiling, came from no where. No, not no where. A small barn was in the back, Sturdy, but old looking. A path led from it, up to the house, but also branched into a small wood passed the pond.

"Nada, you're a crazy bitch!" The girl on the left squealed. She had long hair, noticeable by the moonlight, a very light blonde. It was the length of maybe her breasts, a little passed. It was curled and wet, as it probably curled naturally.

The girl on the right, Nada, smiled. "Sabine, you have no idea how crazy I can be." Her hair was a dark colour. Probably brown or black. Much longer than Sabine's. They both wore what looked to be pajama pants and camis.

"Not know? I live with you!"

"For only a week now, Sabine." Nada's smile faded, remembering the day Sabine showed up at her house, in need of a new home.

Sabine's smile faded, and her giggle rang through the wood, growing quieter with each passing second. "I know,"

They were nearer to the house now, and a porch light turned on. Their faces could easily be seen now.

Sabine had bright blue eyes, and a deep brown skin, which contrasted with her hair and eyes pretty smoothly. It all almost clashed, but not quite. She wore a silver cami, her bra strap easily seen mingling with the silver, a black lace. Her pajama pants were plaid, purple, which looked nice against the silver. She was barefoot, and her feet were dirty.

Nada's hair was black, down to the small of her back. it was draped nicely over her shoulders and brushed to make it shine. Her eyes were a green and her skin was as dark as Sabine's, her cheeks slightly Rosy and her lips fuller. She had a small nose and a little brush of almost unnoticeable freckles. She wore a deep, deep blue cami and blue plaid pajama pants. It was almost as though they wore the same clothes.

Over all, they were both beautiful girls.

"I'm sorry for the circumstances of you arriving." Nada said quietly, looking passed Sabine, but appearing to look in her eyes. She wasn't good with eye contact.

Sabine looked toward the door, then out to the pond. "School will start soon, and I won't feel too bad  after I meet more people."

"You've met Ashton and Kyle."

"Yes, but I'm not too sure I really like them as much as I'd like other people."

"True. Like you said, though, school starts soon. But, with school, comes cold weather. We should enjoy the last bit of warmth we have left."

Sabine nodded, a look of complete seriousness on her face, but a glint of mischief in her eyes. "Indeed."

Nada turned to the door fully and set a hand on the knob. "Sleep well tonight. We'll go into town with mother and Aunt Kim tomorrow."

She walked into the house, locking the door behind her. Sabine walked out to the dock and sat down, dangling her bare feet in the water. She had asked to sleep outside tonight. But for a different reason than Nada and her mother probably thought....
