"Please don't be mad," I heard Niall mumble in his sleep, causing me to wake up. I yawned and sat up. I saw that he was stirring in his sleep. I looked at him confused, wondering what he was mumbling about his sleep.
"Niall...?" I groggily asked. I glanced over at the clock to see it was two in the morning. Can't he just sleep silently? It would be a lot easier for the both of us. I wouldn't wake up, and he wouldn't get questioned for what he was talking about.
"Don't leave me... I love you!" Niall exclaimed, "I promise to come back later... It will only be... a couple months."
Okay, now this was starting to concern me. I probably should wake him up from his nightmare. I shook Niall's shoulder, "Niall, wake up," I whispered, so I wouldn't awaken the children. Niall just mumbled something, and turned over so his face was in his pillow, "Niall?" I asked, that caused him to wake up. He groggily sat up and rubbed his eyes, "What is it, babe?" he mumbled, sleep thick in his voice.
"I heard you talking in your sleep. You were talking about how you didn't want somebody mad at you. Then you told them to not get mad at you. And, then you said how you were coming back in a couple months. What did you dream about?"
Niall's eyebrows furrowed together, as he tried to remember the dream. He shook his head after a minute, "I can't remember it... It's probably nothing, love. Let's just go back to sleep."
It was the end of February, so I was pretty cold. Niall started to lie down, so I cuddled up beside him, "You cold?" he asked, and I nodded. He wrapped his arms around my body, keeping me warm from the cold winter air. I tried to sleep, but it just wouldn't come to me. I listened to the silence. Niall isn't snoring, so I guess he isn't asleep. I turned over, so I could see his face. I saw his crystal blue eyes shining through the darkness, proving my theory that he was still awake.
"Can't sleep?" he whispered. I nodded, "Not really..."
"You can cuddle with me, then," he said, happily, like he really wanted to cuddle with me. I nodded, before burying my face into his chest. Niall nuzzled his nose into my neck, and curled up close to his body, trying to get comfortable.
I smiled, as I enjoyed the time I had with Niall. Everything was perfect now. The fans had cooled down, once Niall told them that he didn't do it anymore. He also was helping start some programs to help end self-harm among kids. I thought it was so sweet of him.
"I love you," I whispered into the fabric of his shirt. Niall's arms tightened around you, "I love you, too, babe. And... I don't ever want you mad at me," he replied. I was confused by the ending, "Niall, why would I be mad at you?"
"I don't mean necessarily now, I just mean I don't want you mad in general. I love seeing that cute smile on your face, and your happy voice ringing through my ears. I just want you to know that I will always love you."
"I will always love you, too," I mumbled into his shirt, before falling asleep.

I was awoken the next morning to the feeling of Niall's lips against mine. I was kind of surprised, but found myself kissing back. He pulled away after a minute, and stared into my eyes. I frowned by his confusing actions, "Any reason why you randomly kissed me?"
"I just want to always remember the feeling of your lips against mine," he whispered, his breath against my skin. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck, "Well, you will always get to experience that feeling, because I won't leave you."
He smiled and pulled me up, with my arms still around his neck. He sighed when he heard the babies crying, "Well, look like our time in here is done. Time to get back to parenting."
