Chapter 31
I saw Niall in the doorway, and I could tell he was furious. I was scared out of my mind. Niall walked over to me and looked at me, then the table of drinks, and then back to me. Niall grabbed my arm and yanked me up, so I was standing, "N-Niall, I'm sorry," I apologized. Niall turned around to face me, his features furious, "We're going home! We can talk about this there!" Niall yelled at me. I saw Harry nervously standing in the background, "Niall, calm down," Harry said.
"Harry shut up," Niall mumbled, before dragging me out of the apartment. I was now sobbing, scared of what Niall would say or do to me when we got home. I got in the car, and Niall slammed the door behind him.
You would think I would want silence in the car, but no, silence is the worst thing in a fight. Niall remained silent the whole car ride, and it was absolutely horrible. It scared me even more. Niall pulled the car into our driveway and got out, once again slamming the door behind him. He grabbed my wrist, pulling me into the house.
We got inside, and the door slammed behind me, causing me to cringe. Niall pulled me into the house, and before we walked in, I saw Zayn walk over. I guess he was watching the twins, "I guess I better go pick up Perrie," he said, holding Mason, "Bye guys."
Niall mumbled goodbye, but I didn't say anything. I watched as Zayn walked out of the house, leaving me and Niall alone. Niall started pacing back and forth, not sure what to say to me. I was completely scared, "N-Niall, I-I can explain," I stuttered. Even if I was drunk, I was still scared out of my mind.
"Shut the hell up," Niall growled at me, "I told you to not drink because something bad always happens!"
"Nothing bad happened!" I yelled at him, "See? I'm completely fine! You didn't need to worry about me!"
"Yes, I do! Everything bad always happens to you! I always have to spend every second watching over you, because you practically die when I don't! When you go out and do stuff like that, it makes my job even harder!"
"I can't do anything anymore!" I yelled at him, "You don't even treat me like a normal person! It's like I'm some freak that can't do anything on their own! When will I be able to do something alone with my friends, Niall?"
"When you can control yourself!" Niall yelled at me. Suddenly, I heard a small voice behind us, "Momma, Dadda fighting."
We both turned around to see Aedan standing there. He was crying and looked scared. I quickly crouched beside him, "Aedan, I'm sorry. Daddy is just mad at Mommy," I said, glancing at Niall who looked guilty.
Aedan continued crying, so I held him in my arms, "Let's just put you and Addy to bed, okay?" Aedan buried his face in my shirt, and I went to the kitchen to see Addy playing with some of her toys in there. I picked her up and carried both of them to their nursery. I changed them into their pajamas and put them to bed.
I walked out of the room and into my own room. Unfortunately, Niall was already there. I was about to walk out, when he stood up, "Look, Nicole, I'm sorry. I was just really mad, but I shouldn't have scared you and the kids like that."
The alcohol was getting to my head. My conscious was beginning to slip away. I felt a few tears rolling down my cheeks. I shouldn't tell Niall this, but I did anyways, "You don't even know why I drank! I wasn't going to drink at first, but Perrie and Marie began to tell me how boring I am! So, I ended up drinking, but I also wanted to for another reason. Because I felt so horrible about not being able to have any more children!"
"Nicole, it doesn't matter," Niall replied.
"You don't understand!" I yelled and slurred at the same time, "Children was the one thing I really wanted in my life. I have to amazing children, but I want to have that feeling where I get to see my own child for the first time again! Do you know how hard it is to see your own best friends being able to have kids and you'll just have to watch! The worst part was seeing your excited face every time I was about to check and see if I was pregnant. Then I would come out and see your face fall as I told you the news!"
