"Look, I know that you both don't really like me as a wife for Niall," I said to Niall's parents. They tried to say something, but I interrupted, "I'm fine with that, but you won't be able to tear us apart. Niall is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love him with every ounce of my heart. He's the one who saved me from the horrible life I was living in. I'm sorry, but I won't be able to leave him. I need him in my life."
The room was silent. Niall's mom sighed, "I don't know why I have been acting like this. I should realize that you two are perfect for each other. Nicole, I'm guessing you probably hate me now, I am so sorry. I am just so over-protective of Niall. I don't want him to get hurt. I have to realize that it's not your fault that those people are out to get you. Could you ever forgive me?"
I nodded, "Of course," I replied with a smile. She smiled back, "Thank you so much, dear. So, what should we do now? Now that everything is cleared up."
"Well, it is nice out. What if we take the kids on a walk?" Mr. Horan suggested. We all agreed to do that. Niall started to put on a pair of sunglasses and a hat, as he got up. I then realized that I would need something to disguise me, too, "How should I disguise myself?"
"Why would you two need disguises?" Mr. Horan asked, confused. Niall looked at him dumbfounded, like he should already know, "Well, the paparazzi have been all over us lately, because of the rumor that Louis spread. They want to prove that it's true, so now we can't go anywhere without the paparazzi practically mobbing us for proof. I'm hoping these disguises will work."
They seemed kind of shocked by Niall's statement. Niall was right. The paparazzi have been all over us. We haven't gone out of the house much because of them. They will do anything to get their proof.
"I think I might have some stuff to disguise myself up in our room. I'll be back in a minute," I said, excusing myself from everyone. I walked up to my room and shut the door behind me. I searched through my closet and dresser drawer, trying to find something to hide my appearance.
I found a dress which had a lace skirt bottom and a jean sleeveless shirt top. I grabbed a floral scarf to wrap around my neck. I grabbed a floppy hat, some sunglasses, and a pair of wedges. I quickly changed into the outfit. I put on some bright red lipstick and then threw my hair up.
I quickly headed back downstairs to see that everyone was ready. Niall was wearing a sweatshirt, even if it was only September. He had on a beanie and a pair of sunglasses as a disguise.
The stroller was set up in the garage, so we put the twins in. We walked out, and thankfully the paparazzi had decided to take a break. We walked down the sidewalk. Niall and I must've looked odd, wearing these pretty obvious disguises.
Niall's parents started making small talk with us. I sort of let Niall catch up with his parents. He doesn't get to see them very often, so I want to let him spend as much time as he could with them.
Unfortunately, disguises never seem to be enough. A fan was the first to spot us. They ran up to Niall, "OMIGOSH! You're Niall Horan!" They screamed. Well, no way to hide that. The press will definitely find out. They are all over our neighborhood, trying to find us.
Within a matter of a minute, the rest of the reporters came. There were camera flashes and yells all mixed together. The babies started crying, and I couldn't even hear myself think. We were surrounded.
Niall tried to yell in reply, "Excuse us, we need to get home!" he yelled, trying to be polite. They acted like Niall didn't have a say. They continued to ask him the same question: Niall, do you cut?
Niall then decided that he couldn't be polite anymore. He shoved past them, as I pushed the stroller through. Niall's parents followed behind. We were able to go in the opposite direction, so we could just head home. Going on a walk was a bad idea.
