Chapter 13
Another week and a half has gone by. Niall has been really busy, so we haven't been able to communicate much. We've called a couple times, but they were short calls that were interrupted by Niall having to leave for another concert. I still really miss him, but I've been working on distracting myself by caring for the kids. It somewhat works, but at night, I always think about my husband who I miss so much. Niall is always on my mind.
I had just finished giving Addy and Aedan their baths, so I decided to put them to bed. It was nine at night, so they were going to bed a little later than usual. I said good night to my children and tucked them in. I quietly tip-toed out of the room and into my own.
I took a quick shower and headed back to my room, with a towel wrapped around my body. I looked around the room, for something to wear. I found a pair of pajama pants with a star print on them. I grabbed my slipper boot and then looked for a shirt.
I went into Niall's section in the closet, hoping to find a shirt there. I grabbed one of Niall's old shirts that I had worn before. I pulled his Aeropostale shirt off of the hanger. I put on the pajamas, and climbed over to my bed.
I looked down at the shirt, and could smell Niall's cologne on it. It instantly reminded me of him. It was supposed to make me feel like he was here, but instead it just made me feel more lonely. I missed his arms around me, as I laid in bed. I miss him so much.
I felt the sadness entering me again, so I quickly hid my face in my pillow. Don't cry, don't cry. Tour will go by fast, besides Niall said that we can call, talk, or Skype any time that I'm feeling lonely.
That gave me an idea. Well, if I'm feeling lonely, why don't I talk to Niall? That would solve a lot of my problems.
I grabbed my laptop off the night stand and set it on the duvet in front of my legs, which were crossed over one another. I turned on my laptop and logged into Skype. I found Niall's contact and pressed it, waiting for him to pick up. My heart started to sink, as a minute passed and he didn't pick up. Suddenly, it started to connect.
Within a few seconds I saw Niall's face pop up on the screen, "Hey babe," he groggily mumbled into the camera. That's when I remembered the time difference. Niall said that he was going to France first for his tour. So, right now it's close to ten at night. He must be trying to sleep! I know how hectic tour schedules are and he must be tired.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, Niall!" I exclaimed, "I completely forgot the time change! I am so sorry! You must've been sleeping, and I woke you up. I can go and we can talk later. I'm so sorry!"
"Nicole, Nicole, wait!" Niall said, quickly interrupting me from pressing the end button, "I'm fine. We can talk; I won't really be able to talk much tomorrow, anyways. Besides, I was awake."
"You were sleeping, weren't you?" I asked him, raising his eyes brows. Niall sighed, "Okay, fine I was asleep, but I'm awake now, and I want to talk with my beautiful wife."
I quietly laughed and blushed. Niall shifted his position on his bed, as he sat up. He set the laptop in front of him and sat up, cross-legged, "So, it looks like you can pull off my shirt, huh?" he joked. I blushed and looked down at my shirt, "I guess I do, don't I?" I pretended to model off the shirt for him. He laughed at my idiotic poses, "Well, then I guess I won't look too stupid anymore. When I can't sleep, I pull out your necklace and hold it in my hand," Niall lifted up my fish necklace he bought for me when we were on that cruise.
"That's where it went!" I exclaimed, causing Niall to laugh, "I was wondering when you would notice that I took it," Niall changed the subject, "So, how are Addy and Aedan doing?"
