The lunch room, one of the most loudest places in the whole school and one of the most headache inducing places for Jay. She made her way towards the back of the cafeteria, sitting down at the farthest table on the farthest seat.

She sat her bag on the table, unzipping it and pulling out her criminal law books. She had Law Enforcement next period which was one of her favorite classes. Hearing about the crimes that people have committed intrigued Jay.

She flipped to her chapter with the sticky note dangling off the side of the textbook. The Jonestown Massacre, one of the most infamous massacres in history.

"More than 900 Americans killed from cyanide poisoning in a south american jungle, all convinced by Rev. Jim Jones that drinking the cyanide infused Kool Aid would bring them peace and prosper."

Jim Jones, father of nine, was a sadistic psychopath. Much like Patrick, Jones knew the right between fantasy and reality and which was right and which was wrong. The thing that people never really know about law enforcement is the difference between a sociopath and psychopath.

The difference is simple but hard to remember. A sociopath by definition is a person suffering from Antisocial personality disorder or sociopathy. A person can be diagnosed eighteen and above but the person must have warning signs before the age of fifteen to be diagnosed as a Sociopath.

"Repeated violations of the law, Pervasive lying or deceiving, Physical aggressive behavior, Reckless disregard of safety for others or self, Consistent irresponsibility in work and family events, Lack of remorse."

Patrick showed all the signs and red flags but he did show remorse. Jay knew that for a fact. She remembered when children first went missing, Patrick had this dull color to his face and never traveled with the pack of boys he usually would travel with. Instead he remained quiet and tedious throughout the two weeks that the missing flyers were posted.

As the weeks grew farther and farther apart Patrick quickly became his old self again. It was like he was empathetic, like he felt what the parents of the lost children felt. Sadness.

Psychopaths on the other hand are typically referred to as Sociopaths and vice versa. Psychopathy is a severe form of sociopathy with greater symptoms.

"Lack of guilt or remorse, Lack of empathy, Lack of deep emotional attachments, Narcissism, Superficial charm, Dishonesty, Manipulativeness, Reckless risk taking."

Patrick embodied a mixture of both of the traits, disregarding safety for self or others, physical aggressive behavior but he was also very charming and was manipulative. Girls would swoon at the thought of Patrick Hockstetter talking to the way he did to Jay.

"Excuse me,"

Jay peered over her textbook to a boy standing in front of her, holding a carton of milk. He struggled to remain straight faced, his mouth quivering into a smile.

"What?" Jay asked returning back to her book. The boy glanced over his shoulder and back to Jay, "My friends over there think that you're cute."

Jay's eyes stopped in the middle of the page, setting down her book and looking to the boy in confusion and frustration. "What?"

The boy snickered, "My friends over there think that you're cute." He turned his torso, pointing to the table of varsity jackets. They all laughed in response.

"Do you think I'm really that fucking stupid?" She asked closing her textbook and shoving it into her bag and standing to her feet.

The boy's smile soon deflated and an anxious look replaced it. "They wanted you to have this." The boy gestured to the milk sitting in his hand.
