Jay sped the entire way to school, making sure to avoid Belch's blue sports car on the way. Walking up the stairs of the school, Jay pulled open the door and pranced towards her locker. She had never been this excited to actually be at school and more importantly away from that psychopath.
Twisting open her lock, Jay swung open her locker, compiling her bag and books inside while grabbing her textbooks for the day. "Hi Jay,"
Jumping nearly ten feet into the air, Jay turned only to see Teo. "Oh Teo, you scared the shit out of me." Jay clutched her chest.
Teo laughed, "Sorry, I wanted to say hi before I went to class." He was wearing a pastel yellow button up with black pants and his shoes that were too big to fit. "Didn't I say I would walk you to class?" Jay smirked, squinting at him.
"Maybe, maybe not I don't remember." Teo shrugged smuggly. Jay chuckled, "Yeah I think I'll walk you to class, just for safety's sake."
Shutting her locker, Jay gripped her textbooks in her hands, nodding for Teo to follow. "What do you have for first period again?" Jay asked. Teo pulled out his slip and scanned it, "Pre-Calculus."
"Ah that's right the boy's a genius duh Jay." Jay bumped her forehead with her hand. "Well I'm not exactly a genius." Teo rolled his eyes.
"Teo don't lie to me I'm too stupid for that." Jay joked but was quite serious at the same time. She was stupid but she knew when Teo was lying. "I'm not lying!" Teo threw his hands up in defense giggling. Jay smirked, "Sure,"
The two continued down the hallway together, Jay receiving the regular ugly stare or two from the regular bitch. "Jay-"
"What is it?" Jay asked, watching as Teo stopped his pace and froze in fear. "Teo what is it?" She asked again. His eyes were wide, his hands gripping the side of his pants as he pointed down the hallway.
Jay traced his finger down the hallway, towards Henry Bowers and his gang of reptiles, including Patrick. Jay observed as Henry nudged Patrick to his left, Hockstetter craning his neck and peering down the hallway towards Teo and then Jay. His mouth grew into a smile as he licked his teeth slowly.
"Teo, it's okay they can't do shit if I'm with you." Jay stated, placing her hand on his shoulder as she led him down the hallway to his class.
Jay focused her gaze on the tile floor below them as Teo anxiously tugged on his backpack. "Don't look at them," Jay says in a hushed whisper as the two slowly approached the gang.
'Yeah she's probably a bigger slut than Beverly Marsh,'
Jay snapped her head to her left, watching a group of sophomore girls glance to Jay and then laugh. "What did you say?" Jay asked stopping in the middle of the hallway and shuffling near the mass of girls. There was four of them, two brunettes, a ginger, and a blonde, each of them carrying their bag over one shoulder as they looked at Jay.
The girls didn't answer as they eyed Jay who stood inches away. "No really what did you say." Jay bellowed. The girls exchanged looks as the surrounding students including Bowers and his posse tuned into the conversation.
"I didn't say anything," The blonde muttered, her mouth contorting into a gastly smile. Teo stood behind Jay, watching the entire thing unfold before him.
"Really? I think I heard something about me being a, quote, 'bigger slut than Beverly Marsh' but I guess I heard wrong." Jay laughed, turning around and starting her journey to Teo's class.
"Because you are!" The blonde shouted. Jay stopped twisting her neck towards the group of girls who were laughing yet again approaching closer, "If you have something to say behind my back I will gladly love to have a girl to girl talk instead." Jay hadn't realized her fingernails had sunk into her palm so deep until the red liquid from her hand dripped onto her boot.
"What is there to talk about, you're a slut. Deal with it." The blonde smirked. Pulling her fingernail from the divot in her palm, Jay pointed a bloodied finger towards the girl, "You don't know the definition of slut. You are a child."
"Jay, I-I think we should go." Teo tugged on her arm. Jay glanced towards the blonde headed girl and then to Teo, fear prominent in eyes. He was scared, and she was the thing he was scared of.
"Stay out of this," One of the brunettes stated, pushing Teo into the crowd of people now surrounding the brawl.
Jay watched as Teo landed on his back, his kippah falling on the floor next to him. Without thinking, Jay swung her hand, hitting the brunette across the face, leaving a strip of blood across her face. The sea of students behind her erupting, Henry and Patrick watched in excitement as the girl stumbled back.
"Don't you dare touch him." Jay hissed.
Observing the situation, the blonde girl reached for Jay's hair, pulling it towards her but then letting it go as Jay turned her attention to the fair skinned girl.
"So we're pulling hair now?" Jay asked setting her backpack onto the floor. The remaining ginger and second brunette rushing to their friend on the floor.
The blonde girl panicked striking Jay in the eye, slicing her eyebrow. Jay touched the scratch with her finger. Red, the only color she saw. Either the blood on her finger or the tips of her hair, red was the only thing she saw.
Wiping her finger on her leg, Jay was fuming. Throwing her fist forward, Jay connected her fist to her nose, feeling the bridge of her nose collapse under her knuckles, sending the blonde into the lockers behind her.
"If you want to talk about me behind my back then say it to my face. I don't pull hair I'll beat your face in!" Jay shouted, kicking the girl in the side.
"Hey!" Henry and Patrick jumped in, Henry stepping in front of the raging Jay and Patrick pulling her off of the girl who clutched her nose.
"And don't you fucking touch him or I swear to god I will hunt you down myself!" Jay shouted over Patrick as he pulled her away from the girl.
"Get off of me." Jay pushed him away walking to Teo and helping him up. "Common Teo."
Before walking down the hallway, Jay grabbed her bag and ushered down the hallway with Teo. "Jay," Patrick grabbed her upper arm, pulling her back.
"Next time I'm talking with a someone like her, let me deal with it." Jay barked, rage still flowing through her veins. "That wasn't talking," Patrick stated. Jay glanced to him and the two girls on the floor before grabbing her bag with Teo and continuing down the hall.
