Patrick looked at her and then to the bed, sitting on the edge next to her. Jay rolled on her side, facing the wall as Patrick rested his elbows on his knees.
He glanced to his jeans and then back to Jay, watching as her shoulders fall as she breathed. "Jay," Patrick asked.
Rolling onto her back Jay looked at him, her face soft, "Yeah?"
"Can I touch you?" He asked. Jay scoffed, "No you can't touch me— Yes Patrick you can touch me."
"Fuck at least I asked!" Patrick's mouth twisted into a smile. Jay rolled her eyes and faced the wall again.
Resting besides her, Patrick wrapped his arms around Jay, pulling her into him. Jay closed her eyes, completely ignoring the blistering pain shooting throughout her leg.
"He was just giving me a ride," Jay spoke quietly. Patrick let out a breath, "I don't care you're mine."
Jay held back her argument, rolling onto her side, facing Patrick. "I'm no ones."
Patrick scanned her face, his fingers poking her sides as Jay squealed, giggling, "Patrick!" Patrick watched as the girl shouted in laughter, throwing her legs into the air.
"Yes you are you're mine!" Patrick laughed, poking her body making her squirm. "No I'm not!" Jay shouted back, smirking.
Patrick rested his hands on her waist as she settled back down on the bed, staring up at him. "I just wanted to know you were okay," Patrick spoke.
Jay looked into his eyes, watching his pupils squeeze, "I'm not your property."
Patrick watched her face turn away laying her head back on the pillow as he propped himself on his elbow. Sliding his hand under her cheek, Patrick pulled her face to his, "You're mine."
"Didn't seem that way when you were all over some cougar at the diner last month." Jay argued. Patrick rolled his eyes, "Who was here wrapping your fucking ankle when you twisted it?"
"I could've done it myself." Jay stated. "You're so stubborn I can't even believe." Patrick ran a hand through his ebony hair.
"Blame my dad for that." Jay mumbled, rolling onto her side. Patrick sat up swinging his legs over the side of the bed.
"I've always seen you here by yourself not your dad what's with that?" Patrick asked walking to the window, moving the curtain with his finger.
"He- he works a lot," Jay muttered. Patrick glanced from the window to the Jay, "You'd really think I'd believe you?"
Jay gazed at him, staring at the ceiling, "He works from job to job, I don't know he doesn't tell me a lot of things."
Walking back to the bed, Patrick slipped back onto it, his back propped against the wall as his legs laid in front of him.
"What about your mom?"
Jay glanced up to him and to the window, "I don't have a mom."
Patrick looked her eyes and then the window as well, "Everyone has a mom sweet thing." Jay's mouth twitched into a smith, "Don't ever call me that again."
"Why, you don't like it sweet thang?" Patrick asked, rolling towards her as she giggled. Wrapping his arms around her waist he pulled her to him, kissing the back of her neck softly.
