Her eyes fluttering open, Jay awoke on her back, the ceiling above her. Looking around, complete darkness. The television off, the lights off and the crickets chirping outside.

Jay sat up, a blanket covering her lower body. As she continued to sit up, Jay noticed a number of love bites covering her chest and stomach.

Rolling her eyes, Jay removed the blanket, acknowledging that she was still in her 'outfit' from before.

Standing up and walking into the hallway, Jay noticed the kitchen light was on, "Dad?"

Walking into the kitchen, Jay saw no one and heard nothing except the buzzing from the florescent lighting above.

"Dad?" Jay called out, rubbing her eye, checking the window only to see his car was still gone.

Walking around the house some more, Jay finally came across the clock in the hallway.

'6:30 am'

Jay rolled her eyes, scratching the edge of her scalp. She might as well have just stay up for school, she had the time anyway.

Walking to the hallway closet, Jay grabbed a towel from the stack and walked to the bathroom.

Closing the door and locking it, Jay remembered just a few hours ago getting dressed for a guy she despised. She hated him but at the same time she didn't want him to go.

Walking to the tub, Jay turned the handle counterclockwise, feeling with her hand as the water slowly heated.

Peeling her clothes from her body, Jay left them on the floor.

Letting her hair out of her twisted bun, Jay threw the hair band onto the floor.

Soaking her hair under the hot water, Jay massaged her scalp slowly, squeezing her shampoo in her hand.

"Fucking bastard left me," Jay muttered, running through her hand through her hair. Jay was never to be the type to do the things she did last night, Patrick was her first kiss anyway.

She would never let a boy in the house in the first place, get undressed and then wear skimpy clothes just because he asked. He held her hostage, she had no choice.

Jay was alone constantly. She never knew what real love meant or felt like.

"You really fucking let in the first boy who said you were pretty wow Jay wow." Jay mumbled to herself.

"I was held against my will, he broke in and kidnapped me!" Jay argued with herself. "He gagged me, tying my hands together broke into my house and sucked on my skin till it bruised."

"And you loved every fucking minute of it," Jay smirked taking her razor and gliding up her legs. She frequently shaved her legs, her strawberry skin being the biggest insecurity about her legs. Strawberry skin is a natural thing that happens to most women of color but Jay was Italian and English so when she says she has Strawberry skin almost no one believes her. Strawberry skin is when your pores are darkened to the point your legs look like strawberries hence the name.

Jay used anything to get rid of the condition, exfoliation gloves, all the creams in the stores but nothing simply fixed her legs. So Jay turned to shaving to reduce the size of the pores and reduced the amount of cream she used on her legs.

Once finished with her left leg, Jay turned the faucet off, fetching the towel on the drying rack next to the shower before pushing the curtain to the side and stepping onto the freezing tile.

Wrapping the towel around her naked body, Jay walked to the sink, wringing her sopping hair down the drain.

Picking up her dirty clothes, Jay clutched her towel and walked to the door, unlocking it and walking to her room.
