"Jay!"

Turning her head down the hall, she saw the boy from this morning. "Oh hey." Jay stopped next to her locker.

"I listened to your advice and I haven't seen Henry or Belch or anyone!" He beamed. Jay couldn't help but smile, he was about to her shoulder and his backpack was bigger than he was.

"That's good! You never told me your name by the way." Jay twisted the lock of her locker, flinging it open.

"Matteo. My names Matteo." The boy nodded. Jay shuffled through her clutter in her locker, "Teo."

"What?" The boy asked laughing. "Teo, I'll call you Teo." Jay slipping the books from her bag into the locker. The sound of paper wrinkling gave Jay the shivers knowing she had a mess to take care of.

The boy smiled, "My mom calls me Teo."

"Well," Jay looked to the boy," Your mother is a very intelligent woman then."

"You should hear her talk, Italian mother all the way." Teo shuffled his feet, flattening his pants with his hands.

"Your family is Italian?" Jay asked. Teo nodded, "My mom was born there and so was my dad, they moved here and had me and my brothers."

"Wow, that's cool. The farthest place my family has ever been to is New Hampshire." Jay tapped on her locker.

Teo laughed, gripping the straps of his backpack. Jay laughed as well, "What's your first period Teo?"

"Um let me check." Teo responded, reaching into the pocket of his khaki pants and pulling out his schedule.

"Pre-Calculus and then Art."

Jay dropped her books, her eyes growing wide, "You're in Pre Calculus?" Jay asked in awe.

Teo nodded, laughing. Bending down he picked up her book and returned it to her. "How smart are you child?"

"I skipped a grade so that's why I'm so young." Teo stared. "I skipped third grade because it was too simple."

"I've always been a dumb ass, and maybe you can help me with Pre-Calculus cause I'm terrible." Jay continued shuffling through the worksheets piled inside her locker.

"Yeah definitely, I'm not good at Art though so if you need help with that good luck finding someone who is." Teo folded his schedule and placed it back into his pocket.

"Well, I'm good at Art maybe you could help me with Pre- Calculus and I could help you with Art."

Reaching into her bag, Jay pulled out her sketch book handing it to him. "See."

Teo looked at the black book and then opened it, flipping through the pages of hand studies and eye studies along with entries that were half finished but still better than anything Teo could do.

"Woah this is cool." Teo pointed out. A blue woman with pink hair and red eyes Jay had drawn a couple months back.

"That was a pain in the ass to do. Colored pencils are hella hard to erase."

Teo laughed handing back her sketchbook, "Well you can definitely help me with art."

Jay chuckled, "Sounds like a deal."

Teo nodded, smiling. No girl had ever talked to him and laughed with him instead of at him. Jay was like an older sister to him, which was helpful since he was in a house full of boys half of the time.

"Well I have to head home now, I'll see you tomorrow Jay." Teo walked down the hall.

"Remember go through the front tomorrow!" Jay shouted after him.
