On May 9th, 2028 Veronica and Octavian were busy working at the kitchen table. Octavian working on another book after writing four books. One on fitness, Fighting with Fitness. Two poetry books, The Dove and The Poet Tree. With a romance novel, A Kiss Without Conscience. While Veronica was planning her next lesson for her students at Mount Royal Elementary/Middle school (she became a reading teacher), something came up. "Babe, I'm going to need your help with this book" Octavian said. "I can't do that" Veronica replied with quickness and aggression. "Can I ask why not?" Octavian followed up with sharp anger. "You really asked that when you see all of these papers I front of me? Damn" Veronica says I the same tone. Then Octavian quickly got up from his seat and yelled: "You're Not The Only Mother Fucker Tied Down By WORK!!!" Veronica yelled back: So The Fuck What?!? Making That Statement Won't Help Neither One Of Us!!! As she rose from her seat at the table, he quickly grabbed her by her arms, squeezing them in pain, and said in the most menacing voice: "Woman, don't you ever raise your voice at me." Veronica then stepped on his foot and smacked him to where he stumbled to the stove. Octavian looked at her with an anger she has never seen or felt from him before. Fear raced in Veronica as if Octavian was going to kill her. He slowly walked to her with his fists balled up. When he got close to her, he stopped. He unballed his fists and held his head low. He then turned his back to her and headed out the door. "Where are you going?" Veronica asked fearfully. "OUT!" Octavian yelled back, and slammed the door behind him shaking Veronica. Veronica fell to her knees and cried. Octavian went out only to the porch, where he sat on the top step and cried as well. Veronica left out the house to find Octavian on the porch. Hiding his face. He stayed low and silent. She walked by him on the steps, and she looked back to see him even as she was heading to her car. She drove off, and was gone four hours at the school teaches. She came back to the same image. Realizing that Octavian never moved from that same position. Veronica went up the steps to sit next to him. She rubbed his back, and whispered: "I'm sorry" in his ear. Then Octavian rose up, sat up straight, and looked at Veronica. He gave her a long kiss, they hugged, and he apologized to her for being irrational and disrespectful. They went back in the house, cooked dinner together, and went to bed. Half of their pain was over, but the other half awaiting them is near tragic.
