Veronica is struggling with the club she leads, The Messiah Writers. Has been ever since late October into late November. She's also been having issues with her family. Octavian attempted with his best to heal her of these bitter realistic wounds. Through non-stop texting and visits. Even though he had problems himself (With family as well along with physical pains), he still wanted to put her before himself. Not in a superior way, but an equal one. December came in short notice. In the cold weather, he'd still invite Veronica to come with him for walks, open mics, and sometimes to just chill at his place. She was in great acceptance of these invites, and was accepting them.  By the time Christmas came, Octavian seen Veronica five times throughout the month. And the two were together at Octavian's place having a conversation. One that would they would both mark as one for the records. "I appreciate your comforting me after all of this" Veronica said.  "No problem. It's been a pleasure being able to see you more often" Octavian replies gladly. "Likewise" Veronica said with a smile. "Can I ask you something?" Octavian asks with a slight nervousness in his voice. "Of course" Veronica answers with concern in her voice. "You ever had feelings for someone?" Octavian asks while looking at Veronica only looking for a second before looking away. "Yes I have once, but he didn't see me the way I saw him. Besides he was a grade above me and went to a different college. There was a guy who had feelings for me, but he was very confused on what he wanted. Also his confidence wasn't where it  should have been" Veronica explains to an Octavian who's focus seemed unbreakable at the time. "High enough?"Octavian asks. "Yes" Veronica answers simultaneously. "Can I ask you something else" Octavian says with more confidence in his voice. "Sure, ask away" Veronica said calmly. "Do you see yourself with a guy like me in the future?" Octavian asks with the confidence in his voice returning to full strength. "Yeah, but not soon. I feel as though it's part of God's plan for me to wait till the right one comes" Veronica replies with her head slightly low with her eyes looking upon Octavian. Then Octavian states unknowingly: "Well if I'm that one, I'll have you with me unconditionally. I would be your comfort while your being with me gives me strength. I wouldn't make no promises that I couldn't keep for you."  "I appreciate that. Let's just enjoy this day" Veronica says ending the conversation on a happy note. Octavian smiled afterwards, and the two enjoyed Christmas day with the gift of each other's  company. Veronica then went home to stay.  January 13th, 2022. Octavian's 22nd birthday. His friends were on a road trip and were in North Carolina. His family didn't feel like partying. Since he hasn't seen Veronica since Christmas,  and hasn't spoke to her since New Year's Day, he decided to call her up to see if she was free to chill at his place again. She once more accepted his offer, and made it to his place in a half an hour. Octavian welcomed her once she knocked at the door, and she made herself comfortable. "You want to watch a movie?" Octavian asks her. Veronica replied: "I would love to." So they watched Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2. The two sat on the couch and remained silent. Octavian slowly reached for Veronica's hand, and he grabbed it. When Veronica realizes what he did, for some reason she did not resist it. She then turned her hand around to lock a grip with his hand.  A couple minutes later, Veronica laid her head on Octavian's shoulder. Halfway through the movie, they cuddled and silently went to sleep in the cuddling position. 3 hours later, Veronica woke up and then woke Octavian up telling him that she had to go. "Did I do something wrong?" Octavian asked her out of worry.  "No,  I enjoyed the time we've spent today, but I must go. Enjoy the rest of your birthday" Veronica said to him in a low tone of voice. When she left, Octavian was wide awake, and laid flat back on the couch. Veronica makes it home and prays for proper guidance and direction. Afterwards, she looks up at the ceiling of her room and asks herself multiple questions: "How did that happen? Was it wrong to do? I mean it's just cuddling, and it felt nice. Why can't I get him out of my mind? I'm glad I don't have an overload of work to do. But could he be the one I'm looking for?
