King began to live his life in misery. Of course he had the family he came from to comfort him, but he could sense that their type of love was not the same. He was a widower, and a father who couldn't be with his son. He wondered why did he lose them. He tried blaming himself for it, though he already knew that it wasn't his fault. He even had a dream of talking to Vanessa holding their son. She told him the same thing. He woke up with input one objective: To be happy in life. His father got him into writing, and his mother for him based heavy on faith. He prayed more, kept a journal on which tracking how he felt. Dawn made him find a better job, as a motivational speaker. As King began to live with what his family gave him (secretly enjoying it), he realized that purpose in life can be found, lived by, and cherished. But it'll only come if one tries to search for it. One day, as he finished one of his motivational speaking sessions, there was a journalist who stayed behind the leaving crowd with intentions to interview him. "Hello, I'm Summer Alison. Journalist for Life magazines, can I ask you a few questions?" "By all means, yes" King said smiling. As they sat down, Summer then began. "What made you get into motivational speaking?" She first asked him. "My family if I can be truthful, and lots of self reflection" King answered with the smile partly fading. He then continued: "I've done a lot of wrong. To women. To my family. Which is why when I was given the victory of my late wife and son, it was very short-lived" King said as he begins to fight back tears. Summer put her hand softly on his back saying: "I'm sorry to hear that. We don't have to keep going if you wish not to." King then wiped the tears from his eyes and said: "Thank you. And it's alright. Go on." "Alright. Well I won't put this in my notepad, but since you mentioned it, what type of wrong did you do to women?" Summer asked leaning back in her seat. "Have sex with some and leave them. Disrespected the women I've been with on social media when we broke up. But that was in my hardheaded days. Trust me, I've passed those" King told her with his head hanging low. "What advice would you give to someone who's taking failure real badly?" Summer asked with confidence. "If you're alive and failed, live on because there's much more success down the road" King said as he began to laugh. And as Summer began to write his comment in her notepad, she smiled greatly. "And finally, would you recommend motivational speaking to anyone else as a profession?" Summer asked him waiting patiently for his answer. "All I can say is this. If someone wishes to help people without fear of consequence or criticism, then it just might be the one for you" King answered confidently. "Alright, well that's it. Thank you for your time" Summer said as she was beginning to leave. "No thank you Ms. Alison. I haven't vented to anyone like this since I was with Vanessa" King said as he took a deep breath of relief. "If you don't mind me asking, but was that the name of your late wife?" Summer asked curiously. King answered with a soft simple: "Yes." "Can I ask you something Ms. Alison?" King asked Summer with his smile resurfacing to his face. "Sure, but please, call me Summer. When you call me Ms. Alison, you make me feel old" Summer said as she laughed. "Can I see you again?" King asked staring dead into Summer's eyes. She was shocked, and was silent for a couple of seconds before answering with: "Sure. Would you like to take my number down?" King searched for a pen, but couldn't find paper. Then he told her: "I mean, all I got is my hand." Summer laughed and then wrote her number on his hand. As she left: "I'll call you" King yelled to her. And she put up the ok sign and left. King checked her out as she left. Saying to himself: "Damn. Now that's a woman right there." Then he went home.
