One day, King talked to this woman named Vanessa. She was very respectful, an insight listener, and honest woman. King could sense the positivity in her. He then decided to keep her in touch. Their friendship lasted six months. Then things got serious between them. Conversations got deeper. So did physical contact. Play fights turned to cuddling. Hugs turned to kisses. And finally, sex. Which King thought was absolutely amazing.  Meaning he loved Vanessa and the path they were going. Fortunately, she felt the same way, and after only four months of being together, they got married. As his parents showed up, they were in full support. Whispering into each other's ear: "I told you he'll find his way" Octavian told Veronica. "Yeah. I'm happy for him" Veronica told him with sincerity. Dawn also attended, being very happy for her brother. Completing a love rotation in family that they never saw coming. Services went on, being a major success. In a years time, they were expecting a son.  Nine months later, Vanessa and King welcomed Duke to the world. As a family man, King had to try his very best to make sure Vanessa and Duke were safe. His human limitations got the best of him. March 20th, King was driving his family to Ocean City for a vacation, but their car got hit by a school bus that tried to intersect the road. Everyone was rushed to the hospital, but Vanessa died first. What made it worse was that Duke died hours later. King and the driver of the bus were the only ones who survived.
The Dove family was devastated.
