The Fight for Life

The women got to the hospital in 4 minutes. Ty and Doug found out the same way the women did, and made their way to Shock Trauma as well. They got there in 15 minutes. The guys met up with the women and bombarded the women in the front desk and all were in search for the room that Octavian was taken to. Two security guards were sent out to get them, but were stopped dead by Ty and Doug. They put the guards to sleep, and continued the search. The women split up to find his room. None of them were finding luck in terms of Octavian's room. Until they all regrouped at the room at the end of the hall. "Come on!" Olive ordered the guys. They found Octavian's room. The doctors were moving fast in order to not lose him. Everyone watched from the outside of the door for two minutes. Then everyone entered the room. Octavian's pulse was fading. Things weren't looking good for Octavian. "DON'T LOSE HIM!!!" Doug yelled as he jacked up one of the doctors. But that was ineffective, and he was slipping. Losing the fight still. His body kept failing to hold on. He... was... gone. Veronica raced to his then corpse screaming and crying. Everyone stood back in tears. Olive fell to her knees. Denise rested on Janet's shoulder with her face covered by her hands. Janet stood looking at Octavian's body. Standing motionless in tears. Then she said quietly too herself: "Why him Lord?" Veronica slammed her head to her chest. She's completely lost it. The thoughts of never loving Octavian again stormed in her mind. But her inner voice yelled to her: "Calm Down!!!" She kneeled beside Octavian. Calm. And miraculously, she heard his voice in  her head as well. She grabbed his hand and shed tears on it. And soon as she did it, there was a total flashback of all of their life together. All the years. The fights. The joy. The 1 Promise. Her memory flashed up all the way to their fight. That memory ended up shattering in her mind like glass. As soon as the doctors were about to leave the room, everybody in the room, including them, heard the machine which showed his heartbeat, beeping again. Before this, everyone hanged their heads low, but as soon as they heard life,  their heads shot straight up. The doctors turned around and continued their procedures. Until 2 hours later, the doctors finally said: "He's going to make it." Everyone hugged the doctors.  What turned out to be a tragedy, became a miracle that brought Octavian back to life. And it gave everyone just one more reason to count their blessings.
