Bucky finally let her up to go shower. So he wanted to go into the safe room for a little while
He unlocked the door and walked in just looking around. And he spotted a picture of y/n and Steve.
He got an idea.
He walked over to the desk paper thrown everywhere pencils laying around here and there not in the cup at the corner where they belong.
He picks up the pencil and a piece of paper and set out to draw. He sketched out the base of her face and hair when she knocked on the door frame, since he left the door open
"Y/n! You scared the shit out of me!"
"Sorry Buck. Just wanted to let you know we have a half an hour until lunch."
"Thank you" "i gotta go home and change"
He picks up the sketch and takes it with him. He gets back to Steve's apartment and leaves the sketch there for she keeping until he can finish it. After he's dressed he walks out into the living room to see Steve and Wilson on the couch playing video games.
"You alright Buck? You didn't come home last night" Steve asks.
"Yeah Steve I'm fine. Y/n just needed me." "She asked me not to leave. So i stayed" he said running his hands through his hair
He got pissed with it and pulled the hair tie off his wrist and put it in a messy bun and shrugged. Setting down in the chair next to Steve.
"Steve i used to be so confident in being a 'lady's man' back in the day. What happened to me?"
"People grow and change Buck. Thats how life works. Nothing happened you just grew. You spent so long alone you probably didn't realize what it was like to love someone again" Steve states
"So i take it you asked her out?" Wilson wiggles his eyebrows.
"Yeah. But i don't know. Im scared. I don't know anything about this day and age. Im still basically stuck in the 40s." "Women are different now. They can fight and work and drive and do things that were socially unacceptable back then" "I'm nervous Steve what'm i gonna do?"
"Buck i suggest treating her how you would have before, be the respectful man i know you were. Things may be different now. But y/n shes different than most girls. Shes not hard to please. She hates going in public. She hates large crowds. She'd rather stay at home in her pajamas watching films and eating all the junk food her tiny body can handle. "She just wants to be with you and spend time with you. Doesn't matter where or what you're doing as long as you're together."
"Thanks Steve"
"Anyti-" Steve starts to speak
"Bucky has a crush! Bucky has a crush! Oo ! Bucky and y/n sitting in a tree k.i.s.s.i.n.g" Wilson taunts
Bucky stands up
"Wilson you're a fucking dead man!"
He runs out the door.
Bucky just flopped back down in the chair and rubbed his hand over his face.
"Im gonna head to the common room to meet everyone for lunch"
"I'll go get y/n and catch up with you"
"Okay"
