17.memories pt2

She's 17.

She's at shield. Fury walks up to her.

"Y/n, I think Clint has trained you enough. Your first mission is tomorrow. Get some rest its a big one"

"Remember y/n, I'll be here the entire time okay?" Fury says as the helicarrier lands a little ways from where the base is.

The mission was going as any other mission would. And then they see him.

Y/n starts to freak out. Everyone around her is him everyone.

She starts to panic. Attacking everyone. Stabbing some in the shoulder others in the legs. One comes at her. She stabs him in the eye. Another comes at her. She shoots him.

Then there's a searing pain in her thigh. Shes been shot. The guys eye who she stabbed picks her up and carries her to the helicarrier.

She wakes up in the hospital

"Uncle Nick I'm so so sorry!"

"I didn't mean to"

"Im so sorry"

"Oh my God who did i shoot?"

She sobs.

"Y/n, calm down." Fury says calmly

"You shot agent hill."

"NO!"

She looses it. He was like her father. He was her best friends father. And she shot him.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

She tells them everything that happened. By the time she was done she was a total wreck. Who wouldn't be?

They had to sedate her.

An agent says and leaves her office.

"You can call me Steve."

"Im y/n"
"How are you?"

"Im good. To be honest I'm scared. I'm not use to this. I'm not crazy. I'm just not from this era."

They became best friends after that. It turned from therapy sessions, to just two friends eating whatever junk food there was, hanging out in her apartment, having deep conversations over greasy pizza. He told her everything from his childhood, to The day Bucky died. Even how girls were treated back then. Everything. And she taught him about the 21st century

The first day she went back on the field was when Loki attacked. She was the only one who could match with him if she was afraid enough.

She fought on team Cap to free Bucky.
She couldn't not do it knowing what hydra did. They did it to her too. That doesn't mean she wasn't afraid of him. It means she wanted him to be treated as a human, not a soldier or a 'fucking lab rat'
