MINDLESSLY TAPPING MY fingers against the surface of the chestnut desk, I chewed my lip anxiously.

Proposing such a plan to Seth could go badly or pretty well. I hoped for the latter.

"Hey!" Olivia whispered. Tilting my head to lean in closer to her, I whispered a silent 'yeah?'

"Could you stop with the tapping, I can't concentrate." Sinking into the depths of my seat, I bit my lip harder and pulled my hand towards me.

Olivia muttered a silent 'thank you' by tipping her head and offering a smile, and then continued on with her work.

I, on the other hand, found it impossible to even make a start on the first question.

With the way my mind was racing with thoughts, I hadn't managed to write more than three words in these forty minutes.

Sighing in annoyance, I shook my head and focused in on the page, my fingers twitching to tap against the desk, once again.

Ring Ring Ring.

Springing to my feet, I felt a sudden wave of relief sweep throughout my body. Finally.

Olivia weaved in and out between the desks until she was by my side, her eyes narrowed into thin slits.

"Why are you rushing?"

Ignoring her question, I joined the crowds of people as they hobbled through the corridor towards the lunch hall doors.

Turning to face Olivia, I held out my bag. "I have to do something really quickly, would you be the bestest friend in the world and take my bag for me?" My face morphed into a pleading expression.

Raising her thin brows and then sighing, she gave in, the green specks in her eyes twinkling with amusement, which contrasted greatly with her beautiful bronze skin.

Waiting for her dark mop of hair to disappear round the corner, I waited for a pause in the traffic of people and rushed towards the janitors closet.

Beside the door was a silver chunk of metal with slits. It was, for some reason, randomly placed on the wall, allowing beams of light to seep through.

Idly standing with my eyes peeking through the slits, I waited for Seth to appear.

If it weren't for my dire need to speak with him, I would've stopped for a moment to judge my stalker-ish actions.
