"Emma Murphy?" "Here!" It was Tuesday and Thank God it wasn't Monday. Monday was the worst.

I don't know why Emma hates me so much. What is her problem? I've always been nice to her, but she's just mean to me. On Monday, I was at lunch and saw Emma sitting alone. I looked at my friends at my table, then took my lunch and started to walk over to Emma. "Hi." I said, sitting down across from her. She ignored me, her nose in a book. "Hey, how are you?" I asked again. No reply. "Your name is Emma, right?" I asked, desperately trying to start conversation. Emma looked up at me, "Aren't you that weird girl from my E.L.A class?" she asked. I saw a hint of a smile on her lips. She was trying to get under my skin. "Weird? I don't know about that part, but I'm in your E.L.A class. Hi, I-" Emma interrupted me, "I dot really care what your name is," she said with a scowl on her face, "Just get away from me." Emma looked away from me, then straightened her glasses and ran her fingers through her hair. "Do you have any food?" a familiar voice asked. Kien stood next to our table. "Great." I muttered. "Yeah." Emma smiled, her pale cheeks pink. She grabbed an apple, a cheese stick and a bag of chips from MY lunchbox and handed them to Kien. "Here you go!" she squeaked. Kien took the food but looked at me strangely. "Aren't those hers?" he asked. Emma glared at me, clearly wanting me to stay silent, but I spoke anyway. "Yeah, those are mine. You can have the cheese, though." Kien handed me back the apple and chips, then ran back over to his friends. Emma glared at me, her mouth twisted into a frown. She grabbed everything from my lunchbox, even the plastic container in which my sandwich was in and walked over to the trash can. Then, she threw it all away.

"Today we are going to learn about the elements of a creative writing story." Miss Wallace said to the class. I sighed. No one cared about creative writing stuff, anyway. Unless you were going to become an author when you grew up. "Now, I'm going to put you in groups of four to discuss a story I will give you. Now, lets see... Zack, Michael, Elizabeth and Terry, you can be a group. (A/N: does anyone get that? Kinda?) Lilly, Joshua, Kien and Emma, you guys are a group. Michelle, Stephanie..." I was in a group with two people I hated. Emma and Kien. Well, Kien was okay, but I despised Emma. We all sat in a group together and our teacher handed us a paper with "The Magical Dog." Written at the top. "I don't want to read. You guys can." I said, looking away from the dirty looks Emma was giving me. "Okay, I'll start." Joshua took the paper and began to read. I sighed, wishing I could be anywhere else but here.

A/N: So, Lilly's being bullied by Emma. Why does Emma hate her? Sorry I didn't include much of Kien in this chapter.
