Harry and I walked into the History of Magic classroom after we had gotten back from Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade was fun, except for a little old lady that kept following us around saying that we are "the chosen ones".

It was weird.

Anyway, we walked into the room, and it was completely empty.

About five minutes later, Professor Lupin showed up with a large suitcase.

"Hello, Professor," said Harry.

"Hello Harry, Maya." He said, smiling at both of us.

"How has your day been?" I asked him.

"It has been alright Miss Potter, what about you?" He asked, heaving the case onto Professor Binns's desk.

I gave him a look.

"Is Mr. Malfoy giving you a hard time?" Professor Lupin asked.

"A little. But I can deal. It's Malfoy for Merlin's sake, why I'm so worked up about this, I don't know. Never mind, forget I said anything." I sighed.

"Well if you don't want to talk about it, that's your decision. But, why waste your time dwelling on people that treat you like that?" Said Lupin.

I stayed silent, obviously knowing that he was completely right.

"What's that?" Asked Harry pointing to the case.

"I was lucky enough to find another Boggart. This one was lurking inside me Filch's filing cabinet. It's the nearest thing we will get to a real Dementor. When he sees you, the boggart will turn into a dementor." Said Lupin.

"Okay." Said Harry.

"But my biggest fear isn't dementors. Sure, they're terrifying and I'm deathly afraid of them because they almost killed my brother, but it's not the scariest thing in my mind." I Said.

"Exactly. That's why Harry is going to be standing in front of the boggart, and you are going to try to perform the spell."

"What?" Asked Harry.

"You'll be facing your fears and helping your sister. How nice is that?" Lupin jested.

"I didn't agree to this," muttered Harry.

"Well, you have no other choice bud," I said.

"So..." Professor Lupin took out his wand and motioned for us to take out ours. "The spell that I am going to try to each you is highly advanced magic. Well beyond Ordinary Wizarding Level. It's called the Patronus Charm."

At this point, I had already blanked out, considering Sirius had already taught me this.

What am I going to do?

He was my best friend. One of the only people I thought I could depend on. What did I even do? I didn't do anything to him.

I tried thinking of anything I could have done to set him off.

Nothing.

"Maya?" Asked Professor Lupin.

I snapped back into reality.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Are you with us?" Lupin Asked.

"Yes, sorry professor," I said.

"The incantation is Expecto Patronum."

"Expecto Patronum." Harry and I repeated.

"Now, concentrate on that happy memory. Harry, I want you to go first. Then Maya. Without the boggart." Said Lupin.
