"Absolutely not. You are not entering that stupid tournament." I demanded, as Cedric just laughed at me.

We'd just spent an hour at the Black Lake, but Cedric had to go back to the castle or Prefect patrolling at nine. Cedric had decided to tell me that he was thinking about entering the Triwizard Tournament, and I was not having it.

"Maya, it will be okay," Said Cedric as he just laughed.

"Cedric, this is serious. People have died in this tournament, and you expect me to just let you enter? Hell no. Not on my watch." I said.

"Maya, it isn't even guaranteed that I'll be chosen out of the Goblet." Said Cedric.

"But what if you are chosen? Cedric, it's extremely dangerous." I said. "I don't even want to think about you being in it. There are so many mythical beasts, like the Sphinx one year, and dragons another. There was even a fucking minotaur once, and I'm still not 100% sure that those exist."

"Don't worry about me," said Cedric.

"No," I said. "Of course I'm going to worry about you. Just—promise me that you won't enter it? Please?"

"I'm not making any promises, but if I do enter, I'll make sure that I win that thing and buy you as much chocolate as I can with the prize money." Said Cedric, taking ahold of my hand and swinging it.

"That doesn't make me feel better," I said. "That chocolate will." Said Cedric. "You're an idiot," I said. "You love me." Grinned Cedric.

"You're so annoying." I groaned.

"But I'm cute though. So it works." Said Cedric.

"You're so positive, it makes me want to throw up in my mouth," I laughed.

"I'm only positive because you're over here being a little Negative Nancy." Said Cedric.

"I'm not a Negative Nancy, I'm just a realist. and the majority of the times, the real outcome of everything is negative."

"Take this." Cedric reached into the pocket of his robes and handed me a half-eaten chocolate frog. "It'll make you feel happier."

"Where did you even get this from?" I asked, taking the box out of his hands.

"The Weasley Twins said if they could test one of their products on me, I'd get a free chocolate frog." Said Cedric.

"Are you kidding? Which one was it?"

"It was one of the Anti-Gravity Hats. Thankfully, it didn't go haywire or anything." Said Cedric, causing me to burst out laughing.

"You do realize that they did that, hoping it would go haywire...right?" I asked as Cedric just nodded. "I figured." Said Cedric. "Why do they hate me so much?"

"They don't hate you," I reassured. "They're just a bit overprotective of me. They're like brothers to me."

"Yeah, sure." Said Cedric.

After I had left Cedric, I made my way to the Gryffindor Common Room and went into my dorm.

Hermione was sitting on her bed reading a very large book, Parvati and Lavender were sitting on Lavender's bed doing homework, while Layla was sitting at one of the desks writing something.

Ariel was moved out of our dorms and into the dorms with the rest of the second year students.

"Hey guys," I said tiredly, slumping down onto my bed.

"Where were you? Curfew is in a few minutes." Said Hermione.

"I was with Cedric," I said, causing Lavender and Parvati to look at me. "Oooh." They said while giggling. "Did you guys make out in a broom closet? I heard that a lot of the sixth years do that." Said Layla.
