Eventually, after nearly an hour and a half of sitting in the Hospital Wing in a crippling amount of pain, Madam Pomfrey discharged me and Hermione from the hospital wing. The boils on my face had shrunk down to bumps the size of pimples, and Madam Pomfrey said that they would completely disappear overnight. They still throbbed, and I still felt pain whenever I touched my face, but it wasn't as bad as it was before.
There were still a few tear streaks on my face I'd never wiped off from about an hour before when the boils swelled again and the pain spiked. My eyes had heavy bags, and to be honest, I looked and felt miserable.
Hermione wasn't looking much better.
Madam Pomfrey had gotten Hermione's hands to stop gushing pus and her boils had done down—but similar to mine, they still throbbed. Her hands were heavily bandaged, and she also looked like she'd just stopped crying; which wasn't exactly wrong.
Hermione and I trudged off to care of Magical Creatures together, each of us letting out an occasional hiss in pain. As soon as we got outside of the castle, Hermione spoke up.
"How did Skeeter know these things? Like Hadrid's parentage, and Krum asking me to visit him in the summer, and even your nights out with Draco? It doesn't make sense."
"I've been thinking the same thing Hermione, trust me," I said. "She's a reporter, she's probably got eyes everywhere so she can get her next scoop."
"That doesn't even make sense, because you and Draco—wherever you two have your sleepovers—it's private right?" Asked Hermione.
"Of course," I said, "No one could get in without us knowing."
"Then how would she know that you two watched Disney movies together?" Asked Hermione. "How would she know about the sleepovers in the first place? You don't really talk about them very much."
"I mean, I guess you're right," I said. "Maybe she got an invisibility cloak and has been stalking us for the past few months. It makes sense, doesn't it?"
"Maybe," said Hermione, though not sounding sure.
"Hermione, there's no point in getting yourself worked up about it," I said as we approached Care of Magical Creatures. "We've just got to be careful of what we say, even when we think we're alone. Like right now—we never know. Skeeter could be following us using an invisibility potion right now, and we would have absolutely no clue."
Hermione shrugged off my answer with a slight nod.
We were walking into the class just as the class was ending. There were nifflers running all around the grounds, while the students just watched. Heads turned towards us, and I noticed Pansy Parkinson and Theodore Nott stifling their laughter as they looked at our miserable faces.
"Maya, mate," said Blaise, waving me over to where he, Draco, Neville and Daphne were standing. Remi was curled up in Draco's arm, nearly asleep. I thought about how cute Draco looked as he gently rocked Remi in his arms, and the image of Draco holding an actual baby popped into my head.
"He'd be such a good father." I thought and then blushed directly afterwards.
I send Hermione a small nod as a goodbye and walked over to the rest of my friends.
"You look like you were hit in the face with a bludger," said Blaise bluntly.
"Well, that's a bit rude," said Neville, sending Blaise a small glare.
"What?" Asked Blaise. "Want me to lie?"
"Blaise, shut up," said Draco, taking a step forward and brushing a hand over my hair with the hand that wasn't holding Remi. "You just look tired."
