DRACO'S POINT OF VIEW

"Malfoy, you're being a dick." Said Blaise as we walked to potions together.

"I'm not," I said. "It's not my fault that she won't tell me the truth. I bet it was Diggory that put it in for her. He probably was the one who convinced her, so that she would compete with him."

About fifteen minutes before this, Maya and I had gotten into an argument in the middle of the corridor about her being put into the tournament. She'd told me that she didn't, which really felt like she was lying, and when I called her out on it, she'd called me an idiot. Then I just snapped.

"You really think that Amaya Evangeline Potter, the most anxious, ambiverted person I know, entered herself into this competition to get attention? Are you trying to convince yourself to hate her? Or are you just jealous?"

"Shut up Blaise," I muttered.

"He's right." Said the voice in the back of my head, and I ignored it.

"No," said Blaise. "Just because you want to move on doesn't mean you get to be an asshole. It'll be just like last year, and she's going to hate you."

"Blaise, stop talking," I said. "Just shut up."

"Get it through your head Malfoy—"

"SHUT UP!" I screamed. "FUCKING, SHUT UP. You don't know the pain, Blaise. You don't know how it feels when she sits there, completely ignoring my feeling for her. You don't know what it's like to just watch her stare at Diggory whenever he is in sight, knowing that you'll never be good enough for her. I'M BLOODY IN LOVE WITH HER BLAISE! AND SHE COULDN'T GIVE A DAMN!"

It was silent for a minute, and the few people who were in the corridor had all turned to look at me. I was panting so hard, it felt that I'd just ran a marathon. Blaise gave me a look and raised his eyebrows in almost amusement.

"Really? I don't know what it's like?" Asked Blaise. I thought about it before it finally clicked in my brain. "Dean."

"Oh," I said. "Well, you and him aren't even close."

"Doesn't matter," said Blaise. "You're making up excuses."

"I'm done with this conversation," I said. "Tell Snape I'm in the restroom or something."

I walked away, leaving Blaise to go to potions alone.

MAYA'S POINT OF VIEW

As soon as I saw Nott in the hallway in front of Snape's classroom, I knew that this was going to go badly. All of the people standing in that corridor were me, Harry, Nott, Layla, Dean, Seamus, Ron, Hermione, and a few other Gryffindor and Slytherin 4th years.

"Hey, Potter!" He yelled at me. "Like my badge? I made it just for you."

"Leave her alone." Said Harry protectively.

"Oh, what Potty, you need your brother to defend you?" Asked Nott. "Sucks, you'd think that the Hogwarts Champion would be able to defend herself."

"Very witty," Said Hermione, rolling her eyes. "How original."

I rolled my eyes, his words not phasing me in the slightest. "After all the things I've been through today, anything you say just goes into one ear and comes right out the other."

"Would you like one Granger?" Asked Nott, holding a badge out for her. "I've got loads. But don't touch my hand—I wouldn't want a Mudblood like you sliming it up, would I?"
