Four days later, I was sitting in the middle of Herbology with Harry on one side of me, and Penny on the other. We were in the middle of answering questions in the textbook that was assigned for homework, and I was not having the best time.
For some reason, I was good at nearly every subject except for Herbology; plants just didn't like me, and the feeling was completely mutual. "Penny, what the hell does a purple leaf on a Foricium plant mean?"
"It means that it's incredibly toxic, and could kill you if you come within a meter's radius of it." Said Penny in her regularly cheery voice. "How pleasant." I scowled scribbling what Penny said down onto my parchment.
All of a sudden, I received a sharp tap on my shoulder. I turned to look at a very concerned looking Harry, who was looking down at his watch. "Maya, it's noon. Don't you have to go down to Madam Pomfrey to take your medication?" Asked Harry quietly, so only me, and apparently Penny, could hear.
A few days before, all of my medications regarding all of my mental issues had come in. Madam Pomfrey had kept the majority of the medications with her so that I could just go to her office whenever I had to take them, and so that she could monitor my health and the side effects of the medications. She also wanted me to get used to the routine of taking them before leaving me on my own with them and preferred that I'd see her to get the medication until the summertime.
The only potion that she let me keep was the sleeping potion, and an anti-nausea potion, to take whenever I was up with anxiety, or the side effects of the medications were settling in. One thing that I've noticed though, was that all of my friends were very adamite on the exact times that I had to take all of my medications, and my eating habits.
It wasn't necessarily a bad thing; it was nice to know that they cared so much about me and how I was taking care of myself. However, it got annoying at times. Very annoying.
"Shoot, is it twelve already?" Asked Penny. "Yes Maya, go."
"Guys, I'm good," I said. "Madam Pomfrey just said stop down before lunch to get the pill. She said it doesn't have to be exactly at noon."
"Didn't you say that it had to be at noon?" Asked Harry.
"Around noon." I corrected. "As long as I take it around the same time every day, then I'm good."
"Are you sure?" Asked Penny.
"Yes," I replied.
"Positive?" Asked Harry.
"Completely."
"1000%?" Asked Penny.
"Guys," I said. "I know that you guys care, and are trying to be helpful and make sure that I'm okay, but in the nicest way possible, shut up."
"We're just making sure," said Harry.
"I know, and I appreciate you guys for that. I couldn't ask for better friends and family in the world." I said. "I love you guys."
"Love you too." Said Penny, resting her cheek against my shoulder as she continued to do her work. Harry just sent me a smile and put a hand on my shoulder as a form of affection.
Around five minutes later, the bell rang. I quickly packed up my things into my bag and walked out of the door so that I could get to Madam Pomfrey's. The second I left the greenhouse, a smiling Draco Malfoy looped from around the corner, took my bag off of my shoulder, slung it on his own, and grabbed my hand.
"Hi princess." Said Draco.
"Where did you even come from?" I asked. "The bell just rang, how did you get here so fast?"
