"My name's Sakura Haruno. Are you new, here?"

"Yeah."

"What's your name?"

"No one's really cared..."

"Well, I do!"

"... I'm Sasuke. Uchiha."

"Sasuke. I like that name! I think we should be best friends!"

"Really?"

"Of course!"

"And so anyway, his name's Sasuke!"

Kizashi Haruno smiled, "I'm glad you made a friend on your first day of preschool already. Is he nice?"

"He's quiet, but I want him to break out of his shell and be super outgoing and sweet, cuz he totally seems like that type of person." Sakura smiled, "I want him to be a happy person that makes other people happy!"

"That sounds hard." Mebuki chuckled, "I'll hold you to that, Sakura."

"Don't worry. You'll see." Sakura looked down at her feet and smiled to herself, "just watch."

"His name's Dylan Franc."

"Dylan? You mean... That Dylan?"

"Yes, 'that Dylan'..." Sakura rolled her eyes, "do you have something against that, Sasuke?"

He chewed on the straw of his juice box and looked down at the concrete, "no, not at all."

"Come on, I'm seventeen, now. Don't you think I can make my own decisions?" She chuckled, "besides, one day, you're going to meet your own significant other and I won't be able to hang around you for much longer."

"I know, but..." Sasuke sighed, "I want you to be with him, but at the same time... It doesn't feel right."

She looked at him, blinked, then laughed and patted his back, "I get it... It's separation anxiety. We've been together practically our entire lives and we rely on each other so much, I'd never leave you. But when we get married to our respective significant others, that's all going to have to change... We'll keep in touch and all, I swear."

Sasuke chuckled, "I don't think you should believe you're getting married to Dylan just yet. You are, after all, only seventeen."

"True. But a girl can dream, can't she?"

"Sounds more like a nightmare to me."

"Sasuke!"

"Hey, I'm just saying."

"You're a butt." Sakura sighed, stretched her arms, and stood up from the park bench they sat at, "alright. Anyway, I have to get ready for that date, now. Thanks for listening."

"Always."

Sakura smirked, hugged him, and walked off, "I'll see you at school tomorrow!"

He nodded and smiled, "take care."

My name is Sasuke Uchiha, and her name is Sakura Haruno. My heart beat fast as I waited at the front of the church for that fateful moment.

Then it happened.

The doors of the sanctuary opened and in walks the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. All eyes were on her but hers were fixed only on one person. I gave her a reassuring chuckle and she, in turn, chuckled with me.
