Chapter 16

    Birthday party for two.

When we arrived back at the academy, it was almost seven. So Alex left with a quick kiss, and i got ready. I blow dried and straightened my hair. I put on skinny jeans, a light blue tank top with a white off shoulder belly top, the locket Alex gave me and high tops. I put on my blue DC flat hat, and left. Alex met me out on my porch. He still wore the bracelet i had given him. "You have any idea were dorm 77 is?" Alex nodded and we started walking there. When we arrived we let our selves like she had told us too. When we entered it was dark then the lights turned on and Carmen, Jade, Azura, Rebecca and some other people i didn't know jumped out and at the same time yelled "HAPPY BIRTH DAY VEE AND ALEX!" Me and Alex laughed. Our friends had thrown a surprise birthday party. The dorm was decorated with streamers and balloons and confetti. Carmen, fallowed by Jade and Azura, both which were holding hands with blond haired grey eyed boys came up and hugged me and Alex. "So whose your friends?" I asked jade and Azura once the happy birthdays were through. Alex hadn't yet left my side but i didn't mind. Azura said indicating the boy she was holding hands with "this is Rixon Ward. He's my boyfriend." Then jade said indicating the boy she was holding hands with "and this is his twin, Elliot ward." Once they left every one went to the back to chill well 'dinner' was being made. It was just hamburgers and hot dogs done on the BBQ by Elliot. When we were all sitting on the porch eating i herd something that made me instantly alert. It was a long eiry howl that clearly said danger. Every one seemed to hear it for many people stood up and went into defencive positions. Me and Alex went to the front of the group. I herd some one mutter "jeez what a way to ruin a party." Something rustled at the edge of the clearing, five wolves emerged. The head was pure white. The others were brown except one. It was the grey wolf i had fought when i first phased. I low growl rose in my throat. It was Demetre, i knew it. "What do you want now Demetre? Do you really have to crash Alex's and i's birthday party?" I said at him. All the wolves phased back to humans. "Sorry but we came to dispose of you." I herd many people behind me mutter "clearly your as stupid as you seem." I paused before continuing. "It didn't work for you last time. What makes you think you could win again?" Demetre smiled "because this time its only going to be me and you. If any one try's to intervene my friends will kill them." Alex whispered my name in my ear. -its OK. I can take care of him- i thought at Alex he thought back -OK just.... don't die- with that i stepped forward. "I'm just gonna warn you Demetre, I'm stronger than you think." Demetre waved the threat off. "So how are we gonna do this? Humans? Or wolves?" I growled "humans."
