   Chapter 24.

Information day.

It was Tuesday, the day we had to meet to find out about what we would be looking for. Rebecca had woken me up the next day by opening the window above my head, allowing the poring rain to come through and soak me to the bone. It was a rainy day at the SNPA. I was still mad at her as we jogged with our umbrellas over are heads, our boots splashing in the puddles, towards the nurses cabin. We hurried up the porch and raced inside. We closed our umbrellas, took our coats off and went into Carmen's room. Carmen seemed pale, ghostly and helpless. There was a table set up with seven chairs around it. Five of the chairs were taken by Jade, Azura, Crystal, Dr. Finneck and Alex. I took the empty seat beside Alex and rebecca sat beside Dr. Finneck. There were a few hello's and Alex took my hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. Today was the day we learned everything that we would need to find the antidote. Dr. Finneck shifted through the papers he had clipped to a clip-board. "Now." He said starting off "For starters, this journey wont be easy. You will have to fight, you will have to climb, swim, run and even hunt. You will encounter many new types of super naturals that do not attend our academy out on the journey. I will give you supplies and food for starting you off. You will get sleeping bags, first aid kit, clothes, a compass, paper and pens, and a lot of other things you will need. Now, you will be travailing through a set of mountains." He continued to explain what rout we would take. Alex would be the person to carry the major map and i would have the job of protection. Crystal would be navigation, and Jade and Azura would be food and resources. Carmen was stirring so i got up and went to her bed side. I listened closely, she was murmuring. "Vee, its cold. Do we have to be here? Wait stop. What are you doing? Stop! Vee your hurting me! Stop!" Carmen was shrieking now, i stood transfixed, relaying what i had herd in my head. - stop Vee, your hurting me.- "she must be hallucinating again." I heard Dr. Finneck say out of the sort of haze i was in. I saw Dr. Finneck stick a needle into Carmen's arm and she stopped shrieking. I was still in the haze, staring blankly at the wall behind Carmen. I felt arms wrap around me, hugging me from behind. It was Alex, only then did i snap out of the haze. "What the hell?" I said. Alex took my hand, leading me to my seat. I sat through the rest of the meeting, only half listening. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Finneck gave us backpacks with all of our supplies. Mine consisted of a sleeping bag, a switch blade and some bandages. Dr. Finneck told me i could fill up the rest of the bag with anything i desired. It was relatively the same for every one else, just they had something other than a knife. Jade and Azura had light weight cooking pots, Crystal had a compass and Alex had a map with our route. After we left me and rebecca headed back to our dorm saying goodbye to the others. I begun to fill my bag up. I put in a journal and some pens and pencils, clothes, a hairbrush, a picture of my mom and dad and me, on a camping trip, i put on alex's locket and i stuffed in a pillow and a couple sweaters. Rebecca had packed clothes, a hair brush, battery's and a teddy bear. I wanted to be with Alex so i put on my coat, and stepped out into the rain. I stood on my back porch with the rain slapping my face, as if i had some how pissed it off. I phased at the edge of the woods, let out a long, high, eiry howl to Alex telling him to meet me at our spot and hoping he heard me, i split into the woods. Once i got there my black fur was ruffled and dripping wet. Mud was plastered to my claws and under belly. I phased back and stood in the partial protection of the trees. I watched the waves of the ocean roll and crash around. "You called?" Alex whispered into my ear. I turned quickly slipping in the mud, but Alex caught me, saving me from being drenched in mud. I hugged him, treasuring the moments with him. I looked up into his eyes, watching them sparkle. He held part of my locket in his fingers, rolling the chain back and forth and smiling. He was waring the bracelet i bought him. I let go of him and took the little locket that was attached to it gently in my hands. I opened it and inside were two pictures. One of a little, blue and green mix eyed girl and one of me. The picture of me was one takin on the beach me and my mom went to. I was standing, smiling in a tank top and jean cut of shorts, i was bare foot of coarse. I always was at the beach I looked at him, raising one eyebrow. "Howed you get this?" I asked he chuckled under his breath. "Carmen gave it to me at out birthday. Before..." he trailed off. I finished his sentence for him "befog she was poisoned." He nodded. Alex put his hands on my waist and kissed me, trying to stop the conversation. The rain poured down as we stood there, each other in our arm's. It was a strange embrace, full of unspoken words and sentences. The rain was beginning to easup, becoming a light shower.
