"Is this it?" I asked as Prince parked the car off in a clearing next to a large tree. The forest was errie, yet beautiful at the same time. The sun made it bright, yet ominous. The sound of birds singing echoed a chilling song that made my heart flutter in worry and fear. My heart was willing to do whatever it took save the woman I loved.
"Yeah...I've got a bad feeling about this," he said as he adjusted the straps of his kevlar vest I did the same, and grabbed the gun from the back seat.
"Hold on...what do you think you're doing?" he asked, snatching the gun out of my hands.
"Excuse you,"
"You're not going in there and you're especially not going in there with this," He said as he loaded the cartridge and packed more into his back pocket.
"What the fuck am I supposed to do, sit here and do nothing?"
"Yes." He said as he shut all the door and left me the keys.
"It'd be even better if you drove yourself home," He said as he and the group of 15 men and women walked up to the fence.
"Captain. The fence is electricuted," said one.
"Alright...find a white, and make sure to cut it...we have to get in there as soon as possible," They nodded and searched through the area. It was 5 minutes in, and I was annoyed. I walked up to Nelson, and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Give me your rubber gloves," I said. He handed them over and I put them on. They were thick rubber and I knew if I touched anything, I would be fine. I looked the fence over The door was padlocked.
"Just find some bolt cutters with a rubber handle, cut the thing and be done," I said. They all looked at me as I went to one of the vans and found a red handled pair.
"I literally just said the same thing," One of the female officers said as she rolled her eyes.
"Men never listen," I say. I went to one of the bulky guys and handed the weaponry to him,
"Make yourself useful and do that for me...put some gloves on too. Just in case I'm wrong," I said. He looked at Captian Nelson, who nodded his head and the man went to the fence. He sighed. I could tell he was shaking and was pausing everytime he thought about cutting the chain.
"Do you need me to do that too?" I snapped. One of the ladies grabbed it from him and cut the chains without a second thought.
"Make sure you don't touch the fence," I said as instead of Captain Nelson, I lead the way. I stopped, and looked back at him.
"Still think I should wait at the car?" I raised an eyebrow and kept walking. They began to catch up with me. Guns drawn. We walked on a couple of minutes, I watched the sky and trees. The birds were singing...at least they seemed happy.
"Here," I looked to my right , seeing Nelson with the handle of teh 9mm facing me. I grabbed it and got a grip on the thick plastic handle.
"I hope you know how to use that thing,"
"I think I've seen Jay clean and load her gun enough to figure it out," I said as I placed it in my back pocket. We walked along. I watched the ground as I walked, there was something mezmerizing about watching the ground move past you as you walk. I stopped...seeing something look off about the path in front of me.
"Hold it," I said as I backed away and found the nearest rock.
"What's wrong?" Nelson asked as he stepped with me. I threw the rock where I remember seaing the shining odity and sure enough, a net shot upwards to the sky.
