Lance's Point of View
My head felt like it was being smashed with a huge lead hammer. I just couldn't think straight for the first few minutes. All I could feel was a feeling of dread, but I didn't know why.
"I see you're awake now, my little pet." I heard a smooth voice. Who the hell was this?
I tried to form words, but my mouth did nothing but open and close.
"Don't worry, it'll take a bit of time for you to get your sense of touch back. Oh and your speech back of course."
I tried to look a little confused, and he seemed to get some sort of idea.
"I am Prince Lotor, your lord and master here aboard my fortress. You are a galra here, whom I managed to save from the paladins of Voltron, who destroyed your home planet. They had badly damaged you, and I successfully managed to save you. I plan to make you one of my generals and train you once you are healed of course."
"What exactly happened to me?" I asked, my voice a little croaky. My voice was much deeper and gruff than what it was supposed to be, but I don't remember what it was supposed to be like before. Did I somehow lose my memory?
"You were on this ship when you were encountered by the red Paladin, who cut you down repeatedly. The scars on your chest are proof." I managed to just about look down to find my purple skin completely damaged and bloody, with bandages wrapped all over it. Was my skin purple before?
"Also it's good that your voice is back. You should be able to train in about 1-2 months at this rate."
"Great." I spoke. I made myself seem enthusiastic, but deep inside, I was just dreading it.
"Um sir?" I was about to ask The Prince about my memories, since they seemed way too hazy, but he simply waved his hand. "Drop the honorifics, call me Lotor."
"Lotor, what about my memories? I can't seem to remember a thing."
"Don't worry Lance, your memories will come back to you in time, but for now, just concentrate on getting better. Goodbye."
He turned around in one fluid movement and walked out the door with grace. He seemed to be a nice person, from what I know but the feeling my gut gave me was one of absolute fear.
Lotor's POV
I bid my goodbyes to the former blue Paladin. He shouldn't be getting his memories back anytime soon, especially since I tore them all straight from his mind using ancient Altean technology that my mother Honerva once used.
All of them were stored on this disk that I kept on me. When I have the time, I will have a look at them later. But for now, I need to write a progress report on my experiment. Lance is the first being I have tried this on. Oh and Thace, that Balmora rebel.
What I have done is quite ingenious, combining the brain of one with the body of the other. The Paladin's body was in horrible condition. His arm and leg had been completely detached and broken, and his lungs failed to work, so to save him, I implanted his brain into Thace's body (after he'd been thoroughly interrogated and I'd disposed his brain). So far it appears to have been a success, but I cannot take risks at this stage. As often as I can, I will have to keep an eye on him.
