Shiro's point of view
The viewing began from when the Galra woke up from some sort of slumber.
"I see you're awake now, my little pet." Lotor spoke as the Galra turned around to face him. He tried to open his mouth, but he closed it again.
"Don't worry, it'll take a bit of time to get your sense of touch back. Oh and your speech back of course. The Galra tried to make some sort of confused and Lotor nodded.
"I am Prince lotor, your lord and master here aboard my fortress. You are a galra here whom I managed to save from the paladins of Voltron, who destroyed your home planet. They had badly damaged you and I successfully managed to save you. I plan to make you one of my generals and train you once you are healed of course."
"What exactly happened to me?" The Galra asked, his voice hoarse.
"You were on this ship when you were encountered by the red Paladin, who cut you down repeatedly. The scars on your chest are proof."
"I did do that." Keith said.
"Shh."
The Galra looked down to look at his body, to find it horribly scarred, with blood bandages wrapped around it. How horrible.
"Also its good that your voice is back." Lotor spoke. The Galra zoned out a little as Lotor spoke, but replied to him when asked.
"Um sir?
"Drop the honourifics, call me Lotor"
"Lotor, what about my memories? I can't seem to remember a thing."
"Don't worry Lance, your memories will come back to you in time, but for now, concentrate on getting better. Goodbye."
Wait. Lance. Lance.
Was this our Lance?
"Does that mean that this Galra..." Hunk trailed off. He seemed more horrified than happy. I don't blame him. Pidge gulped visibly, and both Coran and Allura looked at the body grimly. What happened to him?
The screen began to show a montage of him getting better, resting before finally training with other generals and receiving his title.
Then our attack. He met me, before efficiently knocking me out. Matt snickered and I raised my eyebrow. That shut him up.
His vision blanked out for a second before returning. That's weird. It's not supposed to show blinks or anything like that.
Lance roughly grabbed Shiro and dragged him along thousands of corridors to the Blue lion. He climbed in, when his vision blurred.
Is that you my child? I cannot see any of your memories. Rather they are locked within you. The voice was soothing, almost angelic. This is what Blue was to Lance.
"She's never spoken to me before." Matt said. "I thought she liked me."
"It seemed she likes Lance much more." Pidge whispered.
"Who are you! Don't mess with me." Lance shouted into the air.
Let me unlock them for you.
From that point, many memories came flooding into his mind that overwhelmed his senses. We could see what made him Lance - memories of him with his siblings, him suffering, him enjoying life to the fullest. This was him, alive. Our Lance.
Lance screamed out loud as the memories came flooding in as if a dam within him broke.
Is that you my child? I cannot see any of your memories. Rather they are locked within you.
"What the duck nuggets?" Lance spun around to find Matt, surprised. Pidge laughed a little at his inappropriate language.
"Wait! I'm not who yo-" He rolled to the side before my arm came down on him.
"Please, it's me. Lance." He breathed out, his voice gentle and quiet.
Matt kicked him out of the lion as it took off.
"Its fine. Go with Matt." he croaked out into the air before his lights went out.
From then on we could see a montage of his life on the fortress, with him slipping into the dark depths of his anxiety once more, though this time we were definitely the cause of it. He was worried for us, and we betrayed him. Coran flicked through most memories, until Keith shouted out.
"Stop, rewind...there!"
No way. That's not possible.
"Its Zarkon." Allura stated, her voice wavering.
He's back.
Coran presses play and we continue to listen.
"You have the same name as the Blue Paladin, do you not?
"Yes my Sire, and I can assure you that we have in common nothing else but names." he replied
"Why do you say so? You are a Galran general. Surely your appearance is enough evidence?" His eyes narrowed.
"Looks can be deceiving sometimes, my Sire." Lance looked up at him in the eye, attempting to persuade.
"Very well. I want you to command in the control centre."
"Yes my Sire." he repeated.
"Vrepit Sa!" Zarkon said.
Their meeting came to an end and immediately, Lance was taken to the control centre to be shown the ropes. I recognized some of the information that he saw - it was once of the pieces of information found in the Blue Lion.
He's been helping us this entire time?
I felt a swell of pride, as he never once stopped thinking about us. He was still the caring Lance we all knew.
Coran sped through more parts, showing us how he managed to barely escape and being hit by Haggar's magic. He's been through a lot.
The memory melding ended, but none of us wanted to speak. Instead we all sat down by the pod, waiting for our survivor to come out.
