Sorry for the late update lol. School is an ass >.>

Hunk's Point of View

I was terrified - my heart was pounding like a mini drum. No matter how much I readied myself, I couldn't prepare for what I saw. All was dark until I stepped in, the floor had a thin coat of a thick red liquid and the stench was unbearable. Blood. I felt queasy, but I had to swallow it back down. Coran gasped and rushed to his side.

"Lance!" I shouted. He was unresponsive.

I ran, crouching down beside him to have a good look at his face. He was pale, with deep dark circles under his eyes, and his sleeves were drenched., the blood also dripping into his lap.

"We need to take care of the bleeding. If any more blood is lost, he could be in critical condition. Take off his jacket and cut the sleeves open - I need to get to work on his arms."

I nodded and twisted Lance into a position we could work on him at the same time. I slipped the jacket off and Coran tore the sleeves of his shirt - we would have to apologise later, but not right now. We had a life to save after all

Coran produced a first aid kit from underneath the controls.

"We usually have this for major injuries, but seeing Lance as he is now, we might as well use it. It seems like Blue sealed us in anyway." I turned around as soon as he said that, and the doors were shut tight. No way for us to get out, no way for them to get in. "I'll sterilize the equipment, you clean the wounds."

I took the fluid from the strange box and poured some of it onto his hands, clearing away the most of the blood - there was so much. How did he manage to training in this? He'd been handling all of us and forcing himself to move forward with all of this weight on his shoulders. He never ceases to amaze me.

I took a sterile cotton bud (hey they had those in space) and began to clean out the crusted blood and dirt from the cuts.

At first they all looked random, but then they began to resemble words that were crossed out repeatedly and written over again, like 'pain', 'stupid', 'go die'. But the one that hurt me the most was the one that said 'Filthy Paladin'. We would never think of him like that at all, but I can see where he gets that impression from. Both Shiro, Allura and Pidge are both kinda harsh on him. And Keith is well, Keith.

I became lost in my own thoughts as I cleaned both arms thoroughly.

"Well done Hunk, you cleaned them out pretty well, now we can both stitch them."

Coran demonstrated how to stitch wounds together, and I memorised his movements carefully - one mistake I make could stay with Lance for the rest of his life.

I began one of the cuts carefully threaded the needle in and out of his skin - he moaned and gasped everytime the needle pierced his skin, and I couldn't stop the tears from falling. I tried to steady myself, but I couldn't stop my shoulders from shaking.

I quickly but neatly finished the stitches for a particular cut before my peripheral vision was obscured by a never-ending trail of tears.

Coran had quickly patched up Lance's left arm, and told me that I'd done good. It was my first lesson on stitches, and it broke me inside that I had to do it on my best friend- no. My brother.

I stepped aside for the experienced senior to get to work whilst I wiped droplets of the warm liquid from my eyes.

After a few more minutes, Coran was finally finished, and we both wrapped his hands in clean white bandages. He gave me the OK sign that he would be fine, and I heaved a sigh of relief that I wasn't aware I was holding.

I glanced around the cockpit, realising it was an absolute tip. Besides the smell of the blood was making me nauseous.

"Hey Coran, I think we should clean up before I barf. Or after. Either way this place need to be clean." I spoke, and Coran simply nodded.

I took some wipes from the box (how much stuff was in there?) and cleaned the blood from the floor as did Coran. Within minutes, the cloth had become saturated with it, and I had to grab another. Lance bled so much, hurt so much, and he didn't feel the need to share it with us. He's strong - much stronger than he thinks he is. I don't think I could ever go through what he went through, or even imagine it for that matter. I finished cleaning everything, from the floor to the ceiling and the controls. And there we sat, waiting for Lance to wake up.

Lance's Point of View

I felt horrible when I woke up, my eyes hurt and everything feels heavy when I tried to move. How long had I been out for? Everything was bright - too bright for my liking but I had to deal with it. A chill settled down in my body, and I tried to pull my jacket over me, realising I didn't have it on anymore.

What happened to me?

I looked down at my wrists, finding a fresh set of bandages wrapped carefully and neatly around my arms, and all of my cuts didn't seem to be hurting as much as they used to.

My sleeves were torn and covered in blood, and so were the two people resting in the corner.

Wait what!?

Coran and Hunk both sat in the corner, eyes closed and breathing slowed.

They did all this, for me?

I asked Blue what happened whilst I was asleep.

You bled a lot cub, and your life was soon to be in danger. Thus I allowed two of your closest friends to help heal you. I knew you didn't want to be seen in such a state, but I'm sorry, it was for your sake. I didn't want to lose another cub of mine.

I sent waves of gratitude back to her as I stood up and stretched a little.

Hunk's eyes flickered open and after a moment his eyes locked on mine. He shot up instantly and his arms wrapped themselves around me into a big teddy-bear hug.

"Wha-"

"You're okay Lance I-I wouldn't have known what to do if I lost you. I-I'm sorry I should have stopped them, I should h-have been more aware." He bawled his eyes out. Coran woke up, a little weary, and as soon as he was awake, he shook himself to get rid of his groggy feeling and then joined in the hugfest.

"Lance, I'm just glad you're alright. You know you could have told us about how you were feeling. We're always happy to help." Coran began to tear up, and I took charge.

"No, no no-no-no. This is not turning into a cryfest. " I hugged them harder and wiped the tears out of their eyes.

We stayed like that for about 10 minutes, before Hunk's eyes widened.

"Are Allura, Shiro Pidge and Keith are still outside?"

"Well at least I think they are. It's been hours since we treated you."

"WAIT HOURS!?!?" I screamed.

I broke out of the hug and knocked on the door (It's a little fun thing that I like to do with blue, heh) - she opened it immediately and I ran out of the lion, finding four bodies laying on the floor, fast asleep.

They may not like me much at all, but I still like them at least.

I walked to the corner of the hangar, where a box full of blankets laid. I kept it here to spend more time with blue and talk to her into the night, when it got especially cold. I took 4 blankets and walked back, wrapping their sleeping bodies until they were covered. I didn't want to wake them - they had been working for hours on end and had to deal with my shit.

I looked at Hunk and Coran, making a little "shh" noise and placing my finger on my lips.

"Let them rest, they've worked hard." I whispered into their ears. "I'll apologise when they wake up."
