"LAAANCE!"
"NOOO!" Lance ran towards the edge and jumped off, grabbing his sister by the collar and pushing her as fast and hard as he could back towards the roof, where she, in attempt to grip on for dear life, accidently pulled her father down before managing to climb up.
Now both Lance and John were plummeting to their deaths.
John swan dived gracefully towards Lance, and they grappled as they fell, grunting and gasping for air. If he was going to go down, he was going to take the little bastard with him.
They were both interlocked for a few moments, before Lance managed to kick John in the stomach and push himself towards a wall. Quickly, Lance took off his bag and slammed it onto the wall, catching it onto a the metal casing of a fan. Lance cried out as his arm bent at an unnatural angle, his shoulder popping out of his socket.
As fast as he could, he switched his arms and held on for dear life.
His father on the other hand, dived to his death roaring curses before his life ended suddenly.
"Are you okay boy?" Lance heard on the loudspeaker. He tried to move his hands to give them a thumbs up, but winced when he couldn't even move his fingers without sending a shock of pain to his entire body.
He smiled instead and nodded.
"We'll get you down from there, just hold on.
The time skipped again to a few months after, when Lance had finally recovered.
"Lance, you finally have a clean bill of health. I'm glad that all of that cutting business is over." A younger Hunk spoke to Lance as they both sat on his sofa with all of their siblings, laughing and playing.
"Lance." Kira said. "I am so sorry about what I did, I almost killed you!"
Lance wrapped his hands around the small girl and shushed her.
"Its okay, its okay. It wasn't your fault. None of it was." He rocked. "No matter what the world throws at me, I'll always survive for your sake if not my own. All of you."
"Yeah. You are our survivor, and you'll always live on."
The family, along with Hunk, collapsed on the sofa in a cuddle puddle, laughing and crying.
"Hey guys? I was thinking of going to the Garrisons. Ya think I'll be accepted?"
"Of course."
The screen shut off just as Lotor wiped one of the many tears that fell from his eyes.
Lotor's Point of View
The paladin has had such a bad childhood, where he's constantly had to fight and survive. That's a good quality, but now I am rather worried about his darker nature inside him. If I'm not careful, he could use that hidden willpower inside of him against me. And combined with a Galra body, he would be much stronger that the regular galra.
If I am going to succeed with my experiment as well as destroying Voltron, I need to make sure that Lance takes the Blue Lion safely. Now that I know his most important memories, I need to make sure that I don't trigger any of them.
This plan will set in motion now.
